I would be interested in finding out what some here spend on things directly related to your bodybuilding.
For me, I spend about 100 dollars per month on supplements which includes whey pro, vits/mins, thermogenic, creatine, etc. My co-pay is 25 per month for my Androgel. I am a member of 2 gyms
which is 60 a month. I go to a couple pro shows per year and that varies depending on where it is.

almost the same for me.
shows, supplements, gyms, sometimes magazines or DVD's when it interests me enough...
the price is 10x scarier if you;re gonna compete. save your money if you plan to.
-
just groceries and maybe 8 dollars a year on a multivitamin 500 pack.
-
Howie, I thought you said goodbye to bodybuilding and getbig..no?
-
In the last 16 weeks.......too flippin much and for what return?
-
Everyday food, a protein powder, and that's about it.
I used to purchase all the muscle magazines every month, and buy DVD's and be "obsessed" about it all. Then I realized that once you've bought 2-3 months worth of magazines, aside from contest coverage, you've pretty much bought the entire years worth.
My wallet is bulkier now from less spending, thankfully.

$500-750 a year. $40-50 a month for supps. and a few hundred extra on spare plates or training/history books.

16 weeks?
cycle i guess?
-
Howie,
How do you like the Androgel ,how much do you take a week?
-
Good food, multi-vitamins and a scoop of whey protein, that's it.
-
Isolated protein (5lb) usually a months supply > 85$
Mutlivitamins + glucosamine + vitamin E + C > about 15$ a month worth
Gym Memberships > 25-30$ month when you break it down
Food... > probably more than all the above in 1 month.
*extra costs depending on who you are...
> clothing apparel + belts + straps
> gas / travel to your gym depending on how far
> Anabolics etc... (easily the biggest expen$e)
> Tanning + Body Hair removal
- take into account time to train, cook, shop for the stuff, etc.
time consuming and money consuming for many people.
but that's why only so few succeed in Bodybulding...
it takes alot of dedication.

My current approx monthly expenditure (in US dollars):
Gym Membership - $45
Food - $400
Whey Protein - $50
Broadband Connection for Getbig - $40 :D

I just dumped about 1500 into my basement and made myself a decent home gym. Mostly second hand shit from Craigslist and whatnot, but I spent an afternoon with a sanding block and some Rustoleum and bingo, stuff looks good and works just fine.
My gym dues are constantly rising and I don't like being hosed

Monetize- To convert into money. Whats up with the Viagras? I am assuming you take them for the pump since you called it BBing related. Does it really give you a better workout?

"monetize"?
It's the $500 billion question.
YouTube can't do it.
Facebook is having serious problems reaching it's valuation.
MySpace is having same problem as Facebook.
All the little bloggers (save a couple lucky ones) are fvcked.
All the Web 2.0 sites use AdSense/Ads -- lame and not a true business model (ask Matt C. how that's going).

If you found gay porn on my site, let me know and I will remove it. I have not put any on it.
You must have looked really hard to find gay porn on my site. Aren't there other sites specifically for that? Why waste all your time looking for it on my site? ???

Earl....buddy, where ya been?? Haven't ya heard? I'm making a comeback :D And after 15 weeks of training for this thing and 3 1/2 weeks to go.......it's still not a "sport" and bodybuilders are far from "athletes" :P
-
i dont know. i havent bought whey in a long time...a few months...i dont buy my own food, vitamins, green tea extract, or gym membership
...i buy an energy drink like spike or redline maybe 3 times a week, over the past couple weeks i have boughten two bottles of thinfat from vpx at 20 bucks a bottle...i spend maybe 10 bucks a week total for the gas to get to the gym..and my MD subscription ran out like 4 months ago. so not that much.
-
Advantage of being young, don't have to pay for my food ;D. Supps and gym membership i do pay for though. Don't know how much it would work out to, but i don't care, its what i enjoy doing.

Onlyme spends approximatly 100 a month on mayonaise alone. Mayonaise is key for testosterone production. Cholesterol is much like that of hormones in that it has a steroid ring. Hormones are synthesized from cholesterol thus onlyme's deluded view on mayonaise supplementation.

lol!
Myself was thinking of trying the Sergio Oliva Method,
"pork and beans, cheeseburgers, pizza, cokes, whole eggs, donuts, sipped coffee during workouts, 30 sets per bodypart, lots of 225 for 20-25 rep bench sets, lots of dips, lots of arm work, lots of going out at night dancing, freak of nature."
-
$0.00

maybe you should try Milos's HARDCORE giant sets?
Funny thing is, most of the pro's that did this routein WITH HIM are no longer doing it, most went back to a more traditional way of training. But I can see it working a few weeks before a show, but not 20 exercises per bodypart (doesn't make sense anyway you look at it) but 4-6 per bodypart I can see. Besides, Milos says they are giant sets, I look at it more as a giant circuit!
