Topping Nixon, Bush disapproval soars to highest level ever recorded in Gallup poll

For the first time, George W. Bush has surpassed Richard M. Nixon in unpopularity in the Gallup Poll, receiving the highest "strongly disapprove" rating for a president in Gallup's history.

How can the republicans running for office intend to win, when they mirror Bush on most positions now?

Will they "change" once they win the nomiation?

I can't trust a guy who says one thing for 3 years to get the primary nod, then suddenly changes his mind to take more moderate positions to win the general.  Can you?

i read somewhere that hitler has a better approval rating than bush...
