It is so funny because i'm not sure how old everyone is here (well i know Laura's 40+ :-*) but those are/was so 80's. Tafata (sp?) was the way to go...i was in quite a few weddings and my prom, of course, all in the 80's and my dresses, that are still stashed away, were/are GOD AWFUL!!!!

I will look...my prom dress was PURPLE with a HUGE flower on the shoulder...also the same purple from the dress. Very pretty. In fact, to make it all better, my 80 year old Great Aunt made it from a McCall's pattern...that's sweet. ;D

My prom dress was a satin oriental dress (and I carried a silk fan, my flowers were attached to the fan) because our theme was Oriental. :D
But there were a lot of "Southern Belle" style dresses at the prom. I didn't care too much for them. :P

It was very pretty. It was a pale salmon color with darker salmon accents and frog closures. I have no idea what happened to it though, lol.
I love chinese style dresses. I have a baby blue one that my aunt had made for me.

A few of those looked really 80's, but a couple were clearly early 70's, maybe even late 60's. :o
