I remember first seeing this on American Muscle Magazine
and taping it on the VCR. I recently got a DVD burner
and the tape is old so the quality isn't the greatest.
What I do remember thinking is, "This is the first
guy that actually has that similar look that Arnold had in the double
biceps pose." He had the flare to the lats with a decently small waist
and long arms that had enough beef to rival Arnold's in mass.
When he got larger he lost that asthetic appeal where his lats
seemed less flared and his waist grew proportionately to his new mass.
-
All that mass, and he still couldn't beat a 215lb Flex at that show. Wonder why?

Flex was incredible @ that show and if he weighed 215 he looked 240.
What was unbelievable is that Vince Taylor beat him and Vince was not at his best.
Paul came in 4th. Unreal....

a couple weeks after this show was the Arnold Classic. Arnold said "this man has the most amazing muscles i have ever seen".

Agreed, no matter how much I see pics of Dillet I can't get over the sheer size of his arms. What an absolutely massive bastard! Awesome shape and proportion to those arms too. I know other things worked against him but jesus christ those bad boys are huge.

At the 1993 Ironman Flex was 235, and he looked it. It was one of the rare occasions where he had a extremely good lat spread. Better than the one he displayed at the 1993 Arnold a week later. Flex was 216 at the Arnold..., but Dillett's problem was back detail and posing.
-
Damn that's the best I've ever seen him look.

dillett's 1997 Arnold Classic condition was off the meter, he was one of the first of Chad's Lads , he hooked Flex up with Chad, and then Nasser as well.
When Dillett was lighter he was in better condition than that.

Dillet - the KING!

Please, Flex was never 235 in 1993. He was much softer and puffier at the ironman than at the Arnold which account for the increased perception of size.

Exactly, he used the Ironman as a tuneup...one week's worth of dieting after that he was 216. He always weighed mored at the Ironman and came in lighter and harder at the Arnold.
I wouldn't say he was exactly 235, but he was in the 230's. His lat spread was phenomenal.

If you get a chance please upload the 93 Arnold Classic Flex W. posing routine. Flex never looked better. Shame he had FSGS.

Part of it is on his Hardbody and Mass Contruction DVD's.
Yeah, he looked his best there. Better than in 1992 when he won his pro card.
