guys. your body can only synthesize so much protein at one time. it varies for every individual, but the rough average number of grams that you can syntheseize at one time is about 35. ever gram of protein you ingest over 35 grams will be either stored in your pool of amino acids in the blood stream(which is high unlikely because of the fact that the storage capacity of this pool is very limited and hardly ever drained, esp. in a bodybuilder), orit will be converted into glucose through a process known as glucoegensis. the conversion rate of protein into glucose is at about 53 percent. so for every two grams of protein that are converted into glucose, you yield 1 gram glucose.
the resulting glucose has a very small impact on blood sugar levels, and will secret very little insulin when compared to other forms of ingested carbohydrates.
so over eating on protein realy isnt that bad for you, esp. if you are not on a low carb diet, because the effects of the excess protein are going to be quite small.
