i do it as part of my cardio (circuit training).
it's sandwiched between 600lb clean and jerks and 1500lb squats, followed by 5 minutes of shadow boxing.
on alternate days i'll do hit cardio.
discuss... 8)

yes, i know what you're thinking...
those weights are a bit on the light side, lol, but i remind you that it's called bodybuilding, not powerlifting. ;)
besides, it's not about the number, it's how you make the weight feeeel.
let me explain,
i can make an 800lb bench press feel like it's actually a lot heavier, say 1200lbs, by putting my mind into the weight.

Way too light. I bench 5000lbs to warm up and on my heaviest I bench 10000lbs. Deadlifts are in the 15000lbs range and Squats are 14000lbs.... :P

800? Shit..........I chain that shit together and use it for nunchukas!!! ;D

When used in Milos' giant set routine, 800lbs gets pretty taxing. Otherwise it's a decent warm up set for curls.

800? pfft....for an easy ten.. but those dumbells are awkward..

800? Unfortunately I've never done that in the gym though.. It's hard to get all the plates in the gym as there are other people using plates as well..
Most of the time I go to the junk yard and bench a couple of cars on each side for warm up before I moved on to trailers and bulldozers..
I know it's not a recommended workout environment but hey, those are the only places that meets my average strength.
