I could probably help out depending on the time, how it was coordinated and my schedule. I really haven't abused anyone here so there wouldn't be hard feelings. That being said, it's doubtful they could handle my uncensored, honest responses to their bitching. A nicer co-host might be a good idea. :)

i dont know what ed and block had planned for their radio show but it was fucked up. 45 minutes of diet advice and talking about some bodybuilder... who the hell keeps up with that guy whoever he is and wanna call in and ask him questions... i guess that was to be expected because tehyre both too involved in teh bodybuilding scene to care about anything else.

I am paying for it. No sweat. SS said I can use my home number or cell. I have two cells and a home. I am a bit worried about giving out my home number, but got no issues about giving out my "spare" cell. I only got it cuz it's 10 bucks a month and never really use it.

I don't think there is any fees for podcasting live or re-runs. Like Danielson said, It's the phone switch board service that costs. I'm looking online at some services, it's relatively cheap...

Basically the host is in NY and you can use skype unlimited for $3 bucks a month. The callers who call in will be on their own dime but that shouldn't be an issue. It looks promising though. just one option of course. I love the idea. I worked in radio as a DJ for three years before doing the computer gig stuff and always wanted to get something going like this for fun. The market is already set and I think there is a lot of promise but that censorship stuff has got to go. Still professional but cutting edge.

Most of the podcasts I listen to use Skype and just use a third party utility to record the audio into mp3 format.
I don't know how much trouble the whole thing would be.

I would do at least 5 Podcast edited down at first so the hosts could get everything down right. Proper volume, equalization, etc. Make the show tight, no dead air at all. Make a special invite to 20 guys to call in for the 5 edited down podcast for testing. Once we go live then the routine is set. The sound bytes are ready...etc. I am not sure what hosting would be price wise but ideally you would want your own server so bandwidth limitations and storage limits would not apply. I have about 40 gig in music alone and there is no way you could upload that to an external host. It would cost a fortune.
