Title: Training after being sick...
Post by: kcballer on November 23, 2007, 03:54:33 PM
Okay so recently i was quite sick and couldn't eat for a couple of days, i went down at least 10 lbs in size, because i couldn't eat well didn't feel like eating i decided that once i got better i would take a week off training to refuel myself back up.  I was just wondering with winter here and sickness more apparent do any of you guys have a set time frame you take off if you are unable to eat or train properly for a few days due to sickness?

its a good idea to skip the workout when you are sick imo, and then go back light a couple of days after.

If you lift heavy, intense-it can be a shock to your immune system.

if its just a regular cold its cool to workout.

If its something w/your stomach, its not cool to workout.

If you have the flu or something, your an idiot for going to the gym.

i dont go to the gym if im sick no matter what it is, i dont think its good for me and i dont think it cool to others if they catch it from me, but then im a responsible person.

after being sick it sucks to have weaker strength levels and not be able to pick up right away where you left off, so a week or so of pussy training will do before being able to battle ti out with the heavy ass weights once again and head for valhalla
