'BunnyRanch' Brothel Owner Endorses Underdog GOP Candidate Ron Paul
Monday, November 26, 2007

RENO, Nevada —  Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, an underdog Texas congressman with a libertarian streak, has picked up an endorsement from a Nevada brothel owner.

Dennis Hof, owner of the Moonlite BunnyRanch near Carson City, says he was so impressed after hearing Paul at a campaign stop in Reno last week that he decided to raise money for him.

Hof and two of his prostitutes, Brooke Taylor and a woman who goes by Air Force Amy, attended a Paul news conference.

The women say they liked Paul's message, but wanted to learn more about other candidates before making a decision.

Paul spokesman Jeff Greenspan say while Paul does not personally condone prostitution, the candidate does not think it's the role of the federal government to regulate such activity.

Greenspan says Paul is a diehard supporter of states rights who recognizes that Nevada voters and lawmakers have decided prostitution should be legal in the state.

Paul also is a devout Christian who opposes abortion.

Ron Paul wants to tax prostitutes?

Do you know what Ron Paul's tax plan is?

Do you know his plans for the IRS?

You're a tax man.  I encourage you to research it.  You will keep a lot more of your own money with Paul in the White House than with any Repub OR democrat.

No I don't and I'm not sure what his tax plan has to do with prostitutes supporting his presidential campaign?

I do recall reading he has never voted for a tax increase, which I like, but I haven't looked at his tax plan.

Ron Paul plans to end all federal income taxes.

He will fund this by disbanding useless agencies and stopping the flow of free money to other countries.  You know, the many billions of tax dollars that go to other countries as "aid".

He will shut down the IRS.

Not sure you can shut down the IRS, but I'm all in favor of reducing taxes.  What "useless agencies" does he want to disband?

Does "flow of free money to other countries" refer to foreign aid?

you should research the guy.  He has some great ideas, and some not so great ideas.
Being a tax guy, I thought you'd be pretty happy about not having to fork over a third of your income so that the prez can give it away to Israel, Africa, etc etc.

Kinda funny to realize that you pay money evrey week, which is given to other counties, isn't it?  Yes, it's called foreign aid.  And some is good, but much is bad.  He'll significantly cut pork spending as well.  As you may know, both parties rob the treasury blind.

If he actually could do some of the things he wants, unfortunately we'll have a new conspiracy to talk about...

the left media jsut got behind Mike Huckabee.  BIG time.

It's been obvious for some time, and he is the most dignified man running for the republicans.  He has stayed above the fray as rudy and mitt insulted each other daily for being a bigger liberal.   Huck really, really is a strong conservative, and has been for many years.  He got second in the Iowa straw poll (the one where Mitt bought votes, rudy sat out, and huck put no $ into it).

My money is on Huck to get VP nod at the very least, if Mitt or Rudy wins.

I've been thinking recently that McCain  - Huckabee would be a viable ticket that would have a decent chance against Clinton - ?

Guiliani has way too much baggage and the christian kooks think the mormons are just a bit too kooky for them.

A recent poll suggests that McCain has the lowest level of core opposition among the candidates.

granted it's a longshot but I can see McCain as the candidate with Huckabee as Veep as a tip of the hat to the jesus freaks

I just read a headline late yesterday that all five of the top tier republican presidential candidates would beat Senator Clinton in the general election.

you read a headline?

was this from a poll?

THis would be the first poll of its kind to have ANY republican contender, much less all 5, defeating CLinton in a hypothetical General election.

THis would be monumental news and would be all over the tube this morning.  FOX news isn't covering it for some reason.

Can you please cite your source?  This sounds strange - "a headline" - so you're going to need to back it up here.

Zogby: Hillary Defeatable by 5 GOP Frontrunners

Monday, November 26, 2007 12:09 PM
By: Newsmax Staff

All five of the leading Republican presidential candidates — including John McCain — would beat Democrat Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head match-up, according to a surprising new poll from Zogby International.

But Barack Obama outpolled all five GOP hopefuls — Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, and McCain.

The national poll of nearly 10,000 people — about equally divided between Democrats and Republicans, with about one-quarter independents — is more bad news for longtime front-runner Clinton. It shows that she’s slipping not only in Iowa and several other early caucus or primary states, but across the country as well.

And it appears to confirm the fears of many Democratic stalwarts that candidate Hillary does not offer the party its best chance to win the White House.

Asked whom they would choose in a race between Giuliani and Clinton, 43 percent of respondents said Giuliani and 39.4 percent chose Clinton, with 14.6 percent opting for “someone else” and 3 percent selecting “will not vote/not sure.”

Romney outpolled Clinton by a margin of 43.1 percent to 39.9 percent; Thompson beat out Hillary by a similar margin, 43.2 percent to 39.6 percent; and Mike Huckabee bested Clinton by a solid margin of 44.3 percent to 38.5 percent.

McCain, who trailed Clinton 45 percent to 43 percent in a July Zogby poll, has pulled ahead of the Democrat in the new poll, winning 42.1 of the vote compared to Clinton’s 37.6 percent.

But when the GOP hopefuls are matched up against Obama, the Illinois Democrat beats Giuliani by a margin of 46 percent to 40 percent, Romney (45.8 percent to 39.9 percent), Thompson (46.4 percent to 39.9 percent), Huckabee (45.8 percent to 39.6 percent), and McCain (44.8 percent to 38.2 percent.

Another bad sign for Hillary: John Edwards, who runs third in the polls behind Clinton and Obama, also outpolled all five leading Republicans, although by smaller margins than Obama.

I think the only significance of that poll is that is shows that Hilary does not have a lock on the Democratic nomination.

It also shows ALL the Repugs getting beaten by all the Democrats with the only tie being Edwards/McCain

Still, the sentiment seems to only becoming more solidified: Dem beats Repub.
