AMG won't sell M1151A1s to civilan... yet. I had a Humvee before. Got tired of topspeeding at 50MPH so I got a Civilian one. Except for a kick ass 6.6 Duramax and a different hood, it's basically the same truck fully armored.

What I don't understand is that they never "tilt" the windows a little, wouldn't there be a better chance of an RPG sliding off or Armor piercing rounds "with luck" sliding off?

Yup... that's why most have a slantback... they rarely get shot from the front or side.. 99% from the back.

well that makes sense since the 50Cal would mostly point to the front anyways, but I have seen new movies of Isurgents use the Shape charged Russian Grenades and they just lob them right the front.

that they are fucking scared of these fucks... only luck is they do not have many of them.

Roadside bombs destroy tanks, so a beefed up humvee wouldnt reduce that thread.

one of my employees, who is also a good friend of mine and lifting partner was a turret gunner in Iraq--------------you have no idea how crazy shit is there till you hear it first hand from somebody whose been in the thick of it.
that shit fucks with your mind-----he wont wear seatbelts in case he has to get out of the vehicle quick-------------once we were working and fireworks went off in the distance and he just about tackled me and was ready to start killing people-----very intense dude.

Humvee's are friggen death traps.....and bullet magnets..u need this. Takes an IED and either keeps rolling or the crew stays in one piece. We rolled around Iraq in 2003 with soft tops. I was a tanker so I didn't even take a piss without roilling my tank...but to go to the occasional meeting we went in soft tops. it took about 6 months of IEDs before guys started welding sheet metal. U had the mad max look for awhile until they started producing the kits.

AT one time you could buy military humvees. I owned part of a company called Hooya Hummer. My partner was a Seal (still is) and had unreal contacts to buy the military humvees. I once had 3 humvees in our front yard. They didn't last long though. I sold the last one to Diana Ross's son. OUr website at the time was one of the most popular Hummer sites. There were a few bigger ad better but we had the most links to other hummer sites than any other. OUr site was pretty.
