I'd go to Ibiza again. Went there in 2001 and had the time of my life. 8)
-
my next "trip" is going to have to be back to BC (Pacific Canada...
an extremely long 12 hour flight and when you get there it's 8 hours behind.

(I read someplace recently that:
1 in 4 Americans cannot fit on an aeroplane seat
and that: 9 out of ten don't have a passport),
so we needn't worry about the rest of the world getting polluted...
(joke >bytheway

That's a bit surprising I guess....although the US is so big most of us that live here haven't been to every state!
If the plane ride wasn't so long I would go here:

I love Bora Bora. I have only went through 1 passport. I am on my second. I have a friend who has more than 20 full passports. He has been to probably every country in the world. I swear I envy his travels so much. I figure by the time I am 55 I will be able to do nothing but travel. I want to have one of those $1 million mobile homes made and travel all over the place.

I've got a few stamps in my passport already. I leave for Peru in a week. Will be there for a month. After that, probably tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro this summer.

You beat me to it STella :D
Bora Bora and Moorea top my list. I'll have to renew my passport if and when I get to go :-\

Just renew it now. Sometimes it takes up to 6 weeks! You may need it for that spur of the minute decision :)
Last time I renewed, first they sent everything back saying the price had risen and they needed another check. I sent it in and got everything back in a few weeks and they said my picture was not what they would accept. Why didn't they tell me that the first time ::) Just have it taken at the Post Office

Oh, it's still good right now ;)
I'm just saying... it'll be years before getting over there and it will be expired by then ;)
My "spur of the moments" don't take me far :P although I did get an awesome deal to London a couple of years ago. It was an insanely cheap deal (like $300 round trip). I had some relatives staying in Stratford Upon Avon on sabatical so I booked on Friday and flew out on Saturday. Spent several days in London and saw EVERYTHING including Pavaroti in Hyde Park. Most of it is a big blur ;D (too much to see in such a short time). My only regret was not getting a "Mind the Gap" T-shirt :P

i would go back to my three favorite spots outside of america
1)verona italy
2)austraila
3)while in austraila hop a plain to new zealand
and if time permits go to finland.
i have been everywhere and these are about the only places i would want to go back to.
i have never been to prague,so maybe there too.

dude if you said "make the time" with everything you want to do then you would be doing just that wasting the time to do it. just pick a date, buy the ticket, and then plan other stuff around Alaska
I'm hoping to go to yellowknife to catch a glimpse of that and the diamond mining operation

I'm going to FIBO next year so I figure I'd stick around for a few weeks or a month and take in Europe. I have relatives in Germany and friends in some other countries there so it would be nice to see them. I will defintiely go to Venice, Madrid, Rome, Mikonos, London, Paris, Malmo, and drive on the autobahn
-
Thal, Austria. :)

thought you were going to Shangri La via London, Prof?
Egypt: the Tombs near Luxor and the Pyramids at Giza and the wonderful museum in Cairo are fantastic, but the only way to do it is first class (I was on a P&O cruise with my mum).
She stayed on the ship to go up the Suez, but paid for me for my birthday to get off at the south end of the canal and I was driven to Luxor to see the Valley of the Tombs etc.
Luxor is gorgeous, you must go there, walking around the Valley in 40/50c and going down into the cold dark tombs with the glorious coloured hyroglificks (sp) is breathtaking.
After that I was luckily invited to a mad loud wedding by the guy who drove me around all evening in a silver carriage with a horse and I therefore missed whatever the rest were doing although I found out later they were attempting to go on the nile in a sailboat but there was no wind, then they queued up for yet another buffet.
I tried to find booze, which was hilarious, there isn't any. I got back to my hotel about 3am after my taxi man took me to his stables where he lived and showed me what he was wearing under his smock and I screamed.
Then I flew to Cairo first thing in the morning. I spent the 2nd night at Giza in a 5star hotel with an amazing view of the Great Pyramid and again stayed up all night... There was no way on God's gorgeous earth I could have slept with that all lit up outside my window...
The dinner on the Nile cruise with the belly dancers and the whirling dervish is fun (...if you miss out on the buffet and go up on deck and look at that fantastic view and the incredible lights). You can see from the upper deck when the dervish is about to perform and follow him downstairs.
Don't do the camel ride, just take photos of someone else, meet some locals instead, but do see all the tombs and museums... Cairo is awesome, you must see the golden Citadel and the walled City of the Dead.
We had blokes with machine guns sitting at the front of the coach and a jeep going ahead of us to hold up each intersection to let us through.
It's very touristy, but worth seeing. A very exhausting two days. I'm amazed they didn't arrange for me as part of the tour to climb to the top of one of those towers at dusk and shout.
Can't post pix, it says the file is too big.

you'll need a visa

if i had the fucking time....Alaska to see the aurora Borealis...
you can see the Aurora Borealis from Northern Ontario, up beyond Thunder Bay.
I fortunately saw it a few times as I knew someone with a "cottage" (like a massive log cabin and a private lake and planes and boats) up there...
Try it with a few mushrooms, it's fun.
Perhaps some of my most memorable trips...

(don't think you need a passport for that?
