Then you should go with heroin

"A junky does not want to be warm, he wants to be cool-cooler-COLD. But he wants The Cold like he wants His Junk—not outside where it does him no good but inside so he can sit around with a spine like a frozen hydraulic jack... his metabolism approaching Absolute Zero." - William Burroughs

"nubain feels like a warm blanket"

That feeling you describe is really just a cheap substitute for feeling completely loved.

That is how heroin is described, and the reason why it is so damaging to so many people.

Who doesnt want to feel like that all the time?. People who never had complete love as a child,  are highly suseptible to 'falling in love' with heroin.

I recommend staying far away from drugs that make you feel 'loved'....It isnt real and it will prevent you from finding the real thing and ultimatley ruin your life.

Yes, go ahead use Nubaine, get high fell no pain and life is good. WRONG!!!!. Opiates are very addictive, pain killers are right now an epidemic. They are being abused and ruining lives of high school kids, housewives, successful people( Rush Limbaugh) and athletes. The problem is people take them and it makes them feel really really good, then they get hooked. When hooked they start buying them on the streets, using on line pharmacies, and even stealing them.A good friend of mine Dr Levy, who is one of the best addiction therapist in the country has told me some really sad stories on what addicts would do to obtain there pain killers.
He told me he has had patients taking 40, 60, and even 100 Loritabs a day!!!!
They start with Loritabs, then go to Percosets, then its Oxicoton, then when that doesn't fulfill there fix, they go to Heroin or Nubaine.
They would prostitute themselves, break into houses steal things to obtain money for the drug, create fake ID'S to get prescriptions, and even go to real estate open houses to get into medicine cabinets.
Alot of bodybuilders take pain killers to mask injuries or so they can train harder. They usually start out just using 1 -3 per day, until there tolerance builds up, which is usually very rapidly.I had a friend that was taking them for a back injury, and within 3 months he was up to 15- 20 per day
Drug addiction is no joke, and is a dead end road. Its a good way to lose your life, your dignity, and everything you own.
If you are addicted to pain medication or taking Nubaine, please get help soon.I would advise you to get counseling  and get on Subutex,or Suboxone.I wouldn't use Methadone,  it can be very habit forming, and addicts have even OD on it.Subutex is a drug that takes away the cravings, the runs, cold sweats, the chills and other nasty withdrawls that opiates are known to cause.
I known alot of people and have helped a few friends kick the pain killer habit, thanks to Dr Levy.
If you are taking pain killers please get help life , no one will judge, you and nobody has to now. There are alot of out patient patient programs, with good drubs like Subutex, that will help you get your life back in order
                                                                                    god bless .......John

My drug of choice is the runners high. Talk about warm blanket.

Exactly!  I just thought of this description of nubain yesterday actually.  I was working out and followed that up with some time in the sauna, then the lawn chairs, then the hot tub, then the pool, and I repeated everything listed above (except for the workout of course).  I said to myself "Man this feels like a warm blanket" and it hit me that that is probably what drugs, and in particular, pain killers, must feel like.  No wonder drugs are a one trillion dollar a year market!  :o  :-\

That's what it feels like when it wears off. Cold WET sheets.  ;D ;D ;D

For a person who has never experienced a withdrawal from a drug, I have a really good idea of what it feels like, based on vivid descriptions like this one.  Very powerful and very scary drugs and if nubain does feel like a warm blanket, I can totally understand why people would be so addicted to it.

"Gym Drug" could be addictiveLV Health Magazine
November 2004
ATHLETES AND WEIGHTLIFTERS may be at risk fro developing severe drug addiction to the prescription drug Nubain. Dr. Michael Levy, founder and medical director of the Center for Addiction Medicine, says more people who spend considerable time at the gym use the drug for training purposes, only to form sever psychological or physical dependence.
"Nalbuphine hydrochloride, commonly marketed as the brand name Nubian, is and injectable synthetic analgesic available by prescription," Levy says. "We’re seeing more and more weightlifters and bodybuilders with an addiction to the drug, and most of them don’t realize the dangers when they take it."
Once a controlled substance, Nubain was removed from the Drug Enforcement Administration’s schedule of controlled substances in the 1970’s, arguing it had self-inhibiting and non-toxic characteristics and was therefore less attractive to addicts.
However, law enforcement authorities have begun to investigate physicians who prescribe Nubain for other than legitimate medical purposes. According to Levy, some bodybuilders see Nubain, or "Bain," as a way to alleviate the pain associated with heavy training and provides a mellowing effect.
"Bodybuilders use the drug because it masks pain and injury, allowing them to lift more weight and train longer," Levy says. "Unfortunately, a user’s tolerance for Nubain increases with use. Dosages must increase and be injected more frequently."
As injections become part of a routine, users develop a psychological dependence in which they cannot perform without Nubain. As part of the opiate family and closely related to drugs like heroine and morphine, the drug can also be physically addictive. Levy says treatments for Nubain addictions may include therapies used for other opioid addiction and may include detoxification.
"Some high profile bodybuilders have come forward with their addiction to Nubain, and shed some light on the seriousness of the issue," Levy says. "However, many athletes who use the drug don’t realize the dangers of chemical dependence, and may not realize the dangers of chemical dependence, and may not realize they need help."

If there was ever a time for a Team Nubain, perhaps it is now.

Could it give Team Nasser a run for its money?
