Title: Leg muscle pain...
Post by: Eyeball Chambers on December 07, 2007, 07:34:29 PM
Ever since I started working out (4 years ago) my quads always start hurting (pretty bad) about 48 hours after my leg workout and it lasts for about two days.

My other muscle groups always heal quick and feel fine.  Its just my quads.

Am I lacking a certain nutrient or something?

Thanks,
RPF

Just delayed soreness. You should be fine. No cramping or anything like that right?

Nope, but it really hurts to go up and down steps, get in and out of a car. So I was just afraid it was something serious.  I think I have a fairly high tolerance to pain.

Thanks,
RPF

I didn't mean to post this in "Nutrition, Products & Supplements" by the way.  Sorry

Try working them every 5 days instead of every 7 with slightly reduced volume each session.

OK, thank you for the advice!

stretch them. They're likely very tight from what you posted. Stretch the quads, hams, hips, glutes, and calves. You'll notice an improvement

OK, I'll do that.  They do seem very tight, especially while doing stiff legged deadlifts.

Thanks!
