SF, you think it is unrealistic for 235 pound Tim Tebow to bench 400 ?  ::)

You know they do usually use 185 and 225 pounds in camps/combines for football-and they test your max number of reps.  There is some translation in strength.

225 for 25 gives you NOWHERE NEAR 455, 455 would crush him.

You guys must be weak or have shitty genetics, a 400 pound bench for a 235 beast like Tebow is no big deal.  That guy is a legend in the SEC amongst opposing defensive players, he a fucking animal.

I had a friend who could swim under water across an entire lake , handcuffed and pulling 28 rowboats filled with people.

Once across he'd take a break for 5 minutes, chug down some BSN  and proceed to chop 4 cords of wood with a rusty spoon.

Is there really a "conversion chart" or something to that effect that helps you estimate your 1 rep max based on the # of reps you do with 225?

I think it's probably about time he added some weight. What the heck is someone doing 62 reps of anything for??? Did his gym only have four 45lb plates??? This is GETBIG not getREPS!

if this topic is stemming off Tebow, i dont see why no one can believe it. I can bench prob somewhere around 400, and thats no lie. I have no reason to lie about it. I am a average athlete who weighed 165 in high school and now up to about 220, and like i said i can almost do that. to say that Tebow who is 6'4, 230? and who is clearly a superior athlete compared to ANYONE on this board, cant bench that is crazy? I average gym rats all the time putting up 365. Tebow is clearly nobody average. I watched Brady Quinn do 27 reps on 225 on the NFL network for clean reps. Tebow dwarfs him.

Granted some of those numbers that college teams throw out are crazy, but i don't think tebow's is a lie. These players that make it that far are just bigger, stronger than the regular person. simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
