Title: Paul DeMayo leg workout
Post by: MarvinEderFan on December 16, 2007, 09:27:53 AM
What did Paul DeMayo do for his legs?

For Platz it was both high rep with heavy weights and low reps with heavy weights..particularly the former during most of his career.

But what about Paul DeMayo?

I saw both of them train. DeMayo in his absolute prime, Platz a bit later in his career. What did I see?

* Lots of continuous tension stuff, they never locked reps out.
* Lots of volume. 20+ reps for quads and hams. Almost the same for calves.
* Ridiculous intensity.
* Lots of flexing between sets.
* Knee wraps and belts are OK.

That's what I saw.

Exactly. Absurd. DeMayo's quad would get rude vascular. Platz frequently trained in sweats so...?

Right on the money.

They just found out what worked for them, and of course they can thank their Mom & Dad.

My mistake, I was vague. 20+ sets total for quads & hams. And actually 20+ is low. More like 25+.

I think those guys could teach us a thing or two!

Why don't you visit some pro's and show them how to do it properly?

::) A waste of what exactly? What, if he didn't die from smack what exactly would he have accomplished? Having a "Team" on GetBig? selling used workout gear on-line in a desperate attempt to pay the bills? Or how about going the Sami The Blacksmith route and letting old men jerk off on you. Dying from a heroine overdose just saved him from some eventual embarrassment because of a failed life.

Lots of drugs.  That's why he died.
When are people going to realize it's genetics and prediposition to gear response on that level.  Doing "super drop hyper blaster" sets isn't the answer to bigger legs.  Diet is a better question, and in this case, drug stack.
Yeah, the "secret" leg routine...haha  You read too much Flex Magazine.
Squats help, leg press...your standard shit, nothing more.

hey dipshit, pro's aren't exactly known for their immense training knowledge  ::)

Tell me, how does it make sense to train a musclegroup that is primarily fast twitch with high reps?
