Title: You thought bodybuilding show ticket prices were bullshit...
Post by: Tre on December 16, 2007, 01:45:01 PM

Shopping for tickets to the ballet.  Prices for the budget seats are displayed as $40 for adults, $20 for kids.

That's $100, right?  Well, figure a service fee and some other bullshit and I should be looking at $115-120 total.

No.  When I get to the purchase page, they've added $10 to each adult ticket, $5 to the kid's ticket, a $23 'convenience fee', and $4 'order processing fee'.

$152 for $100 face value??

Fuck that shit.

And by the way, there is no god.

Ballet, what a shock.  Total upper class closet homo gathering:)  They'll say it's "culture" though. ::)
Things like jazz, opera, and ballet always charge a good amount because they cater to upper class people.  You'll never see some homeboys from the ghetto going to Broadway plays either.
Though jazz players are usually fierce at their instruments, it usually lacks any punch...unless you're talking about some fusion tracks.  Straight up jazz is for sick players to solo all night, that's about it.  Rarely does a jazz track move me in anyway.
Bodybuilding shows are overpriced for sure.  At least with ballet, there is some actual talent you're paying to see...gay, but talent.

I just got row 5 at a Van Halen concert. Talk about pricey, but would rather see Van Halen than a BB show any day of the week.  ;D

You're slipping, Bluto. You should already be rallying the troops for Team Diamond Dave.

Just got myself a new four-wheel-drive pickup last weekend.  ;D

But, my kid got a cold, so we didn't go snowboarding this weekend and decided to go see the Nutcracker instead.
