Bought time... This guy just does not get it. The NFL makes a rule dedicated to YOU over your constant use of a injury causing tackle, yet you do it over and over and over. Williams has been fined what four times this year alone for this crap?
Roy Williams suspended 1 game without pay for latest use of "horsecollar" tackle that's illegal because of him.

No,no,no..you actually hafta tackle a guy to get the penalty called ;D
-
I wonder if Roy ever horse collared Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child? They were engaged to be married at one time. Did he ever do it when he was fucking her doggie style?

The rule was re emphasized for Williams. Roy is a scumbag. The guy is always tackling people from behind when he gets burned. Instead of just tacking them , he horse collars them and 9 times out of 10 the person being tackled gets hurt. Williams used to put his knees up behind a the players legs before. Almost guaranteeing an injury. The guy never learns.

Is it just when you grab the collar of a shoulder pad or does the shirt count too?
Not the point but just wondering how exact that rule is?
-
I'm pretty sure it's when you grab the area right below the neck in the middle of the shoulder pads and pull backwards and down.
Very dangerous way to tackle and Roy Williams has some nerve trying to appeal this suspension. What is he attempting to challenge or dispute??? The rules are clear and the rule was made because of him. He continues to do it and the NFL should suspend him a minimum of three games without pay the next time he does it.
He's a jerkoff and he needs to learn to avoid making that tackle. Keep hitting him where it hurts. His wallet. Only make the fines bigger and the suspensions longer.
The sad thing is that he will continue to do it.

Remember when he used to role his knees up behind the person's legs he was tackling? He was trying to injure people before. Now the clown is just giving it a 50 / 50- chance throwing the colar without using his legs.
Guy is always chasing people from behind. Overrated as the day is long.

agree with you there, people say he is a hard hitter and yes he can be. but he cant read or cover. most of the time he is decent and he has made some huge plays but overall he is overrated.
-
Can't cover to save his life.

ya its the jersey too

I couldn't believe when I heard peope complaining about his suspension.
-
We'll see if the Cowboys can cover somebody without the weak-link.
He's played like crap all year.

Ok.
How, are you supposed to takle somebody from behind? Lunge and throw your arms around the legs?
Thats almost same as clipping and that is outlawed for being so dangerous.
With NFL jerseys tightly tucked and tailormade you cannot really grasp anything but the collar/jersey neck.

Explain to me how tackling a ballcarrier around the legs from the front OR from behind is the same as clipping. Stupid remark.
The horse collar tackle is the type of tackle that has proven to cause injuries. And serious ones to.
And yes, you lunge and tackle for the legs or arm tackle around the waist. That's how most tackles are made in the NFL. Anything above the ball carrier's waist and you risk a penalty because you most likely are going for the head.

I meant the block that is directed below the waist line and is coming from behind. Tought that was clipping - sorry.
And that is basically same as tackling from behind and jumping for their legs.
Anything above the ball carrier's waist and you risk a penalty because you most likely are going for the head.
Never tought it like that before but very true!
