If marijuana became legal or decriminalized pharmaceutical companies would have alot to lose.

Precisely.

And since the pharm companies finance the decision-making in DC...

when I indulge it's usually just a hit or two off a j and that's it - just gives me a very slight effect.

That's the beauty of marijuana - sometimes a hit or two is all you need to reach a desired end.

Note, I've never smoked it myself, but every smoker I do know - as well as scientists who've studied it - would attest to this.

So people like you do exist?  I cannot imagine anyone not trying it at least once. It amazes me as we get older and the people of the 60's and 70's are in office that weed is still illegal.  Most people who smoke, or are close with others who do,  know damn well that it isn't all that bad compared to alcohol and cigs for example.  What the hell is taking so long?  I know there are potheads that have no motivation and all but that would be the case without weed also IMO.

The Dr. can prescribe Xanax, anti depressants and other chemical cotails that can cause a person true harm, but Marijuana is illegal?
