no big deal. being in your 60s is probably overrated anyway.

Do the doctors think he'll make a recovery?

exactly, why would u live till 80s, ur dick is so useless by that time
-
yeah but, every man to win the olympia is still alive.

what is the point of this thread? what did he die of?
lets see how many wrestlers die before they are 60. what about football players? no wait what about bowlers or tennis players

All extreme sports are hard on the body - I think bodybuilding would be the most difficult because of the greater amount of drugs.

maybe so. but i would say that those guys were on far less than they are today. i wonder if most of them had prexisting conditions. i guess we will never know
-
good point but you have to also consider the amount of folks that die under the age of 61 that ARE NOT bodybuilders!!! yeah, the extreme part of the sport may caqtch up to sum individuals but the drugs IMO were far less than what folks are taking now!! who really knows what they all passed from

Jorma Räty had a crazy back. I think he only did dumbell rows for back, nothing else.
How many Finnish men die at that age or before? Many, many, hard to pinpoint steroids as the cause.
-
Most pros do a combination of recreational drugs as well.

I saw Frank Zane at a bb show in Arizona last month.
He looked like walking death...he is next. :'(
-
R.I.P Frank Zane.

when all is said and done, most of today's guys will live well into their 60s.
The hype is overblown. Yes, they'll have some funky bone structure, as well as some internal issues due to the growth hormone. and some will F themselves up with insulin. But the majority will be fine.

Frank Zane will be 65 soon.
He looks phenomenal for 65, or for mosty ages.
He currently carries about 175 pounds this time of year.
He is very healthy, monitors his health closely, and has a thriving mail order and personal training/seminar beuniess.
