Title: Arnold hair - Toupee, transplant or natural?
Post by: dantelis on December 21, 2007, 11:29:33 AM
Anyone know if Arnold's hair is natural?  I thought his Dad was pretty bald by Arnold's age so makes me wonder if he wears a toupee, has had a transplant or is just lucky to still have his hair.

Male pattern baldness is hereditary on the mothers's side so that would depend in his moms side of the faimly and my Mother's father was balding but I'm not by my older brother is and has been since he was 29 so who knows how that works out.

Narcissistic is right regarding Male pattern baldness being inherited from the mother's side.

I also believe Arnold's hair is his own.  If he had a transplant or toupee he would most likely have more coverage toward the front.  He has a receding hairline.

I thought it was painfully obvious? Are you guys just being sarcastic?   ???

I think that the "you inherit baldness from your mother's side" is a myth they are finding doesn't always hold.  You can inherit it from both sides.

Actually , thinking that baldness being inherited from the mother's side is wrong Ive talked to several doctors about it (me being bald as an egg) And its  just weird to see your dad with a great hair and You the son bald so if your granpa from mother side is a dick head too you just go...BINGO!!!

But the true is that you can go bald either ways as u may have brothers with or without hair coming from same parents..

I used to look like Richard Gere until I started loosing my cool hair,

Then I became a point of Reference people would say  " you see where the bald guy is ? just keep walking and take the next right"

I hate life.

Why didn't Arnold ever grow a beard? He looks great with stubble.

Also, I have pretty much the same kind of hair he has, it's pretty scary.

Wrong.

He has work done by Bosley..

Just look through archival photos of him in the early nineties (you'll have to look for candid shots of him in gyms and what not, and you will note significant receding by Arnold ).

I don't blame him, though. He's had it done by the best in the world and only the most trained eyes can tell.

Ya a dye job coupled with a few good transplants. All part of his usual weekend visit to a specialist in Beverly Hills as i remember.

Franco's dye job always looks cheap, something like shoe polish.

Old people who appear young are simply creepy.  Aging is a part of life, get used to it.  It never looks natural when you see some 65 year old with paper thin skin and darker hair than most 15 year olds..haha
Do your regular routine, but chill on the botox/gh/test bandwagon.

Yeah, him and joe weider are freinds with the bosley institute guy.   I remember when joe was running ads for him in his mag.    Every couple months arnold and joe would have more hair added.

The trick is to keep it somewhat natural as far as hairlines go......a 40-60 yr old should have some recession to be normal.....seeing them with a 15 yrs old hairline looks creepy for sure...

Not sure if you can read this article on the Wall Street Journal, but it says that lots of Chinese execs and politicians dye their hair to look young since 3 in 5 Chinese are under age 39.  Guess Arnold is taking a tip from them.

Untrue; between him and his friends there's more than enough resources especially in LA. He can't tell the difference is the problem.

I've always contended that he uses shoe polish.

Absurd, good work isn't that expensive especially someone in LA for decades with peers in the biz and billionaire friends. The truth is he doesn't know and better and/or doesn't listen to good advices.

Of course. Some fall for the simplest explanations and net hearsay.

The hair dye definitely, it's part of his weekend Beverly Hills fortnight salon ritual. Looks to me like at most minor hair transplants here and there just to fill things in, along with of course the facial work.
