Title: should i just bulk up 10lbs more for an even 200, or drop 10-20?
Post by: G.R.H. on January 01, 2008, 10:46:54 AM
guys, i know this is a stupid thread or question, but i just want some opinions. i'm almost 40, and i have never been at 200lbs before. (that's alot of weight for 5'6). i'm only 10lbs away from it. should i just say f'it and beef up another 10, or try to lose weight. i'm at 190 now, and no, i am not the leanest.  :-\ my upper body is not that bad, so it kinda balences me out.

it depends on what your bodyfat percentage is right now.   if you are over 13% bf..definitely cut some weight.    you should never get over 13..maybe 14 % bf...whether your bulking or whther its winter time..doesnt matter. no reason to get that out of shape.

you'll look a lot more muscular at 187 at 7% than 200 at 13%

Most people wont tell the difference between 190 and 200. Just cut, you might appear smaller on the scale, but you will look better.
