Title: Documentary on Obese people claims they eat 33,000 cals/day
Post by: Condor on January 03, 2008, 07:34:01 PM
My girlfriend saw this documentary where a "doctor" claimed some of these obese people were eating over 30,000 calories a day.  I call bullshit on this.  There is no way in hell a person could eat that many calories in one day.  I would even find it hard to believe that 10,000 would be possible....

if you watch the episode, they itemize everything the guy ate in one particular day

considering he downed 30 chocolate bars, Chinese takeout for 5, and a MYRIAD of other fast food delivery in a day, it's actually rather impressive and quite believable

That's what i don't get.  Were do these people get the money to eat like this?  Half of these shows you see these fat fucks havent gotten out of bed for like years!  They just lay in their own shit and get feed by their fucked up relatives all day long.

I've watched it twice. It is somewhat fascinating and yes very believable. What is unbelievable is the amounts in one sitting. I dont know where they put it. How can they not get "full"??

I just don't see how the human body could possibly process that many calories.

Yes, I understand that's why they became obese, but seriously, you'd have to be eating ALL THE TIME.

Also imagine the size of the shits they take, actually its probably just a constant stream of runny mess.

the British guy remortgaged his house to do repairs and ended up spending half of it on food

his chocolate bars cost him about 15 000$ in one year alone  :o

I saw that as well. I don't know how mortgages work in England but here you have to at the very least have someone lie for you to say you  have a job or some income to obtain a mortgage. I don't think shitting yourself all day and waiting to die makes you a good mortgage risk.

I realize that, but when you spend 15k a year on candy bars alone it just doesn't seem possible.

Edit: I shouldn't expect people to know what a DTI ratio is, thats pretty naive of me.

Well, according to him, he ate Stallone during the filming of "Over the Top," so we can pencil in around 1,200 calories right there for a snack.

Hi Victor Richards.

lol, was thinking the same thing. How many calories did that guy claim he use to eat everyday?

its very possible. think about the calories in one box of oreos or in one 1pound pack of bacon, or in a box of lucky charms with sugar poured on top and whoel milk...many food items areseveral thousand calories just by themselves.

"I don't know where they put it" is something you say about skinny guys that eat a lot. For instance that mad Japanese guy that wins the hot dog eating comps.

These people weight 700lbs - that's where they put it. Years of stretching the stomach....
