Andropause doesnt generally start til around 40 and in rare cases as early as 35, most science suggests that around 40 is the dropoff point.

So it is still possible to make decent gains after 30 naturally?

Will be thirty in February; am dieting now but I still want a few kilos of muscle before I am 40.

Trapezkerl that is terrible thinking. Most bodies look their best over 30 with the quality and maturity, even up to 45-50. People like to use age as an excuse.

I am 28 and my metabilism is faster than ever by a mile. Due to a number of factors but i'm far ahead of where i was at 18.

Maybe...but building muscle is easer at 21 than 31 and that is a fact...

One guy in my gym asked my age, i said it's 21, then he said; "you have 4 more years untill your test level's start to drop"

I just told him; "Yeah when I turn 25 I start to become shaggy and miserable and will lose muscle fast because statistic's say the avarage test level drop down of a TOTALLY ordinary guy who doesn't know abou nutrition, training and healthy life style in general"

Then he said; "..... yeah well i don't have time to do all that stuff, I have al ife, kids you know..."

HAHAHAH!!!!! I think I can be in the best shape of my life even at 60 years old, don't believe these "statistic's", fucking pisses me off

I think for you it might be a golden era where your estrogen induced hip and breast growth will be unimpeded by endogenous testosterone.

Trap, my best advice is to find a good job, a good woman,  get married, have kids, have a hot chick on the side and work out for the fun of it.

yeah...and for the record 1972 was a good year to be born  :-*

I am twice as old as Candidate

Trap doesn't believe in these points.

Test levels drop VERY slowly, only a few percents per decade after 30 or 40.

Most naturals peak with late 30s early 40s.

Question is, why would you train natural at that age? It's not harmfull, and you feel and look a lot better.

when I was 20 something working out was the last thing on my mind

yes, father time is a cruel man but there are ways to mitigate some of his cruelty

Also when I look around at other people in my age group it is fucking depressing. I have met people that think their lives are over because they are married with kids and hit their 30s. That they are suppose to pack on 30lbs of belly fat is their mentality.

LOL, they ask how do I find the time? these are the same fuckers that watch 3+ hours of TV per day.

Trap, just try to be the best (fill in your age) that you can be.

I am carrying less fat and more muscle than 10 years.

you guys are killing with the 30 is old shit..seriously..

to be honest,  I think that more 50+ should go on HRT. I am not sure of the cost but if your health insurance would cover it then why not

I have seen people make big improvements after 30.  It can be done, and these were guys who were already placing very well in top natural comps so it's not like they had the advantage of never training before.  I imagine it just takes alot of dedication and effort, same as always.

From 36-38 I gained quite alot naturally, but then I had slacked on the training for some years. The good thing is that at present all my lifts are better than ever (I'm 38) and my arms have never been bigger. I guess this is more difficult if  you are closer to your peak when entering the 30s.

I will be thirty in April, I definitely hear what you're saying.

I keep thinking I should have been massive by now and after this it won't happen.

But then I think of someone like Stallone getting in his best shape ever at around 35.

There's still hope.

I've seen dudes in their 40's and 50's  that look quite  cut and "des", not huge, but you know they lift. They just like looking like that and have been doing it all their lives.

1. naturals can't be huge and cut..get that out of your heard right away
2. You will never compete so focus on getting to "decent" size while being lean
3. Don't let working out consume you, focus on life outside of the gym

Train correctly, eat correctly, rest correctly and lean body mass will increase naturally ......even after 30! Oh my :)
