The fat people of America cost this country an obscene amount of money to treat their obesity related diseases, and since most fat people won't do the right thing and off themselves, I encourage everyone to openly insult and discriminate against the obese and morbidly obese. Next time you see one, let loose!

It doesn't sicken me..it disturbs me how much food and what the typical American eats on a daily basis..

I think they should all be rounded up and tossed in fatcentration camps. Give them an opportunity to eat right and exercise, and if they don't take it, starve their asses until they are no longer obese!
-
I encourage everyone to openly insult and discriminate against the obese and morbidly obese.
I already do that! ;D

The worst part is all the excuses the fatty's make. "It's McDonalds fault" "I have a slow metabolism" "I'm too busy to exercise" God forbid anyone take personal responsibility for their actions or their fatness.

NEW YORK — Want a class-action lawsuit with that burger?
A New York City lawyer has filed suit against the four big fast-food corporations, saying their fatty foods are responsible for his client’s obesity and related health problems.
Samuel Hirsch filed his lawsuit Wednesday at a New York state court in the Bronx, alleging that McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s and KFC Corporation are irresponsible and deceptive in the posting of their nutritional information, that they need to offer healthier options on their menus, and that they create a de facto addiction in their consumers, particularly the poor and children.
"You don't need nicotine or an illegal drug to create an addiction, you're creating a craving," Hirsch said. "I think we'll find that the fast-food industry has not been totally up front with the consumers."
The suit does not specify the amount of damages Hirsch and his client are seeking.
Industry officials lambasted the legal action.
"It's senseless, baseless and ridiculous," National Restaurant Association spokeswoman Katharine Kim said. "There are choices in restaurants and people can make these choices, and there's a little personal responsibility as well."

o Lawyers See Fat Payoffs in Junk Food Lawsuits
KFC spokeswoman Amy Sherwood said her company couldn't comment on the lawsuit because it hadn't yet been served, but dismissed the idea that the fried-chicken chain ought to be held responsible for anyone's health problems.
"Eating sensibly combined with exercise is the best solution for a healthy lifestyle," she said. "KFC offers a variety of menu offerings for those who want a more healthy choice."
Walter Olson, a Manhattan Institute fellow specializing in legal-system issues, called the suit a blatant attempt to cash in on the recent publicity over obesity and the tobacco settlements. He also said it disregarded the idea that people are responsible for their own actions.
"Most people are aware if eating double cheeseburgers, it's not the same as celery," he said. "We all have appetites, but people have no trouble walking down the street and buying a different kind of food. They’re not somehow forced to keep going back and keep supersizing. Overeating is a bad habit and is one of the pitfalls of human nature."
So far, there's only a single complainant named in the suit, but Hirsch said at least two other clients would be filing soon in what he aims to make into a class-action lawsuit. All were regular fast-food consumers who suffer from ailments ranging from obesity to diabetes.
The lead plaintiff, 56-year-old maintenance supervisor Caesar Barber, ate at fast-food restaurants four or five times a week and blames his fatty diet for his obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol and the two heart attacks he has suffered.
"I trace it all back to the high fat, grease and salt, all back to McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King – there was no fast food I didn't eat, and I ate it more often than not because I was single, it was quick and I’m not a very good cook," Barber said in an interview with Foxnews.com.
"It was a necessity, and I think it was killing me, my doctor said it was killing me, and I don't want to die."
Frances Winn, a 57-year-old retired nurse, said her habit of eating at fast-food restaurants at least twice a week since 1975, caused her to go from a size 6 to a size 18, and inflicted her with hypertension, high cholesterol and a hyperthyroid problem.
Israel Bradley, 59, said his ritual of eating a pound of french fries a week gave him high blood pressure, diabetes, made him obese and forces him to walk with a cane. In 1993, he passed out and had to be rushed to the emergency room because of the medical problems caused by his diet.
"I got addicted to it," he said.
Winn and Bradley would both file New York state suits soon, Hirsch said.
The aim of the legal action is to force the fast-food industry to "offer a larger variety to the consumers, including non-meat vegetarian, less grams of fat, and a reduction of size" of their meals, along with federal legislation that would require warning labels on fast food similar to those on tobacco products, Hirsch said.
"Hopefully it will change the eating habits of the American public," he said.
In December, then Surgeon General David Satcher declared obesity America's soon-to-be number one killer, and urged for there to be a healthier range of food available to consumers.

These people should be shot for pure stupidity.
The only people I hate more than fatasses are those who want to blame everyone but themselves for their problems.

there is no way that eating "a pound of french fries" or at "fast food twice a week" is going to make you fat unless you are a sedentary sack of shit, that's not that much food.

You could lose weight every week eating that.

yes you could if you were active, these sacks of shit do absolutely nothing physical and then blame other people.

They should all own the movie SuperSize Me and I think it may change their prospective on things..

If you open these people's pantries at home I'm sure you'd find cakes, cookies, candy, chips, doritos, soda, ice cream, beer, and god knows what else, so it's not just fast food that's contributing to their waistlines. Of course, you can't exactly sue Kroger's or the Giant, so they will ignore all the shit food they eat at home and exclusively blame their 2 or 3 weekly fast food meals. ::)
-
yeah, i hate to admit it, but i'm prejudice against fatties. have you ever noticed that most drivers of vans are fat chicks? i pointed this out to a few friends of mine, and they said i was full of sh*t. anyways shortly thereafter they took a notice to van drivers and they told me that my observation was correct ;)

Americans Aren’t Fat Because They Lack Willpower; They’re Fat Because They’re Broke
January 2nd, 2007
Americans are fat, no doubt about it. Over the years, many people have attempted to speculate why. Some have suggested that the food pyramid is fucked up. Others have accused fast food restaurants citing the typical amount of trans fat in an order of French fries. Still others have blamed thyroid problems, psychological disabilities, and low self esteem. While I’m sure that some of these theories do play a part in the rising obesity epidemic, they carefully ignore the main reason lot of us are shopping in the fatty department of the clothing store.
Most Americans are fat. Most Americans are also broke and/or living paycheck to paycheck. Am I the only one who notices a connection there?
To put it simply, a lot of people struggle with their weight because they don’t have enough money to stay thin.
Celebrities aren’t wearing size 00’s because they possess more self discipline or willpower than you. They’re wearing those sizes because they can afford a personal chef, fitness trainers and motivational speakers to come over to their houses to babysit 24-7. These people aren’t better than you. They’re richer than you and it’s likely that they spent more on their bodies than you made last year.
Being thin is an investment and if you don’t have the extra cash to spend, you’ll likely remain overweight. Don’t believe me? Take a trip to the grocery store and buy all the fixings for a fantastic salad. You’re probably going to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $30. Now spend that same amount of money on Ramen noodles, Mac & Cheese and hamburger helper. See the difference? In one case, you’ll have enough food for the day. In the other, you can eat for a month. Furthermore, veggies only stay good in the fridge for two or three days. Ramen lasts in the pantry for years. You can’t buy fruits and veggies in bulk.
If you only have $5 in your pocket, you can’t afford to buy a piece of grilled salmon with a side of steamed asparagus. But you do have enough for a value meal at McDonalds, don’t you? I’ve never seen a fruit cup for sale that cost under $3. But I can buy a candy bar for 50 cents.
Am I getting through to you people yet?
I am not trying to imply that if you don’t pull in a few million dollars a year in income, you’re destined for morbid obesity. On the contrary, I pull in significantly less than that and I can still manage a healthy lifestyle. I have just arranged my financial priorities a little differently from the average person. For example, the outfit that I’m wearing right now cost me $45 including the shoes. However, I spend double that, daily, just to fit into it. The car in my driveway is seven years old, but I do employ a personal trainer. I spend more on food in an average month than I spend on the mortgage of the house I’m currently living in. My body is, by far, my biggest expense. The second I cut back on that investment is the same second I gain weight. Fuck, sometimes the millisecond.
Around this time of year, people spend a lot of time resolving to lose weight. But what dooms them to failure year after year is that they don’t set enough money aside to accomplish that goal. It’s inevitable that they’ll fail and when they do, it’ll be a tremendous blow to their self esteem. What they haven’t realized is what it would have cost them to succeed.
I know a morbidly obese girl who informed me one day that losing weight was the most important thing in the world to her. I asked her how much she planned to spend to achieve her goal and she told me that she joined a weight loss program that was going to cost her around $300 a month. I laughed and told her that it would likely cost her triple that to take the pounds off. Horrified, she said that she didn’t have that much money to spare.
I said, “Well, sell your car and move back in with your parents.”
Even more horrified, she said, “I can’t do that!”
“Why not? Isn’t losing weight more important than your car?”
“Well….yes….but….”
“Are you saying that losing weight isn’t more important than your independence from your parents?”
“No….it’s just that….”
“Well, how bad do you want it?”
“More than anything, but I think I can keep my car and my apartment and still do it. See, this program that I’m in….”
She kept her car and she kept her apartment and she’s still a good 350lbs. The moral of the story? You can’t have it all, people.
It’s either cable television or being thin. It’s an Ipod nano or a slender body. It’s a big screen television or a pair of size 4 jeans. Make your choice now and quit beating yourself up over it. Outside of being filthy rich, the only other feasible way to have both is to invest in some stellar health insurance, pick up a fork, and eat yourself into morbid obesity. Then you can go to the doctor and get your stomach cut out. Hey, it works for some people.
If you don’t want to take such drastic measures, you have a choice to make. You can either live a healthy lifestyle or you can continue to compulsively consume more and more junk. If you choose the latter, all I ask is that you quit with this low self esteem bullshit. Instead of mentally branding yourself a failure, say:
“The reason I’m overweight isn’t because I lack in moral fortitude. I just chose to financially prioritize my life differently from someone who is a smaller size. To me, a new computer and a swanky townhouse are more important than living a healthy lifestyle. The pleasure I get from junk food and reality TV is more than I’ll ever get from running a mile.”
Then, buy a pint of Ben & Jerry’s, waddle into your den, and comfort yourself in front of your high definition big screen television with the surround sound speakers.
Hell, it’s the American way.

Americans Aren’t Fat Because They Lack Willpower; They’re Fat Because They’re Broke
That's the dumbest article I've ever read. Just another excuse and cop-out. Here's all you have to do to realize it's total crap: take a look at the waistlines in your average poor 3rd-world country. Now take a look at waistlines in the rich West. Any questions? ::)

Yeah Fat People Suck!!!!
Geesh come on guys dont you have something better to do?
I do agree America is FAT, Fat as hell but do you really think demoralizing a Fat Person is gonna make them lose weight? Or even starting a Thread on GetBig about it is gonna make them lose weight. I will admit here lately when I'm at WalMart and see Fat people riding the electric carts and only filling the basket with Garbage it does irritate me some. But again I ask what good will it do to Demoralize them?
Why not try and educate them to do better?

Keith how's the diet going?
Actually very good. Not sure if it is a diet rather than just not eating bad shit. I haven't a pastry in about few weeks. No milk since around the olympia. I do have soda but a 12 pak last me about a month. I drink mostly just ice water and tea. I bought a couple turkeys and made one at New years so that meat is still around. I buy whole chickens now and put them in a bar b Q and the put all the meat in a plastic bags. So now I try to just snack on chicken and turkey. I am walking instead of doing any cardio in the gym. There is an awesome park about 2 miles from my house that is just great to walk around. I train at the gym 4 days a week. Strength is up. Did 315 for 8 kind of hard last week, but since I couldn't do it barely for a couple in nov. I guess I am okay. I am on track and when i know I am at a weight I fee l good at I will post pics. I would say about the beginning of March or so.
But I am all for banning fat people. Get rid of them. They eat to much. ughhhhhhhh

for most people its not the quantity but the quality of what they are eating. and since they dont take in huge amounts of food, they really can lead themselves on and bel.ieve their own bullshit excuses and reasons why its not their fault. for some people, its actually the quantity thats making them fat, and for some people its both the quantity and the quality of their diet. for an even smaller portion of the people, the smallest percentage, they are fat not because of their diets quantity OR quality, but actually because of a genetic disease that would make theme obese. yes, thats very rarely the case, but that does soetimes happen. just like some people have a genetic pre disposition ofr lung cancer... but most people get lung cancer from smoking.

"Quality" is a minor consideration at best. Energy balance is the issue... people are either hypocaloric or hypercaloric, period. I think that's where most of the st00pid public fucks up in trying to lose fat. They focus too much on eating what they perceive to be "healthy stuff", and don't focus enough (or at all) on creating a calorie deficit.

yeah, americans are fat because they're broke. ::)
hey i've got a nutty idea. take that $5, and instead of buying mcdonald's, buy a bag of cereal for a buck and a half and a gallon of whole milk. or wait, let's REALLY go crazy here. how about instead of buying $5 of food at McD's, buy TWO dollars of food. get a cheeseburger and a small fry instead of the double quarter pounder.
if it costs you more money to lose weight than to be fat, you're a fucking idiot. hell if you want to make it simple as possible... take everything you eat NOW, and then just have LESS of it. then go outside and RUN. jeez.

Poor social groups generally have worse nutritional habits.
You'll find the white thrash frequenting McD's, instead of cooking nutritionally sound food at home.
I have some vague memory of seeing a study that showed that people with low education would spend a bigger percentage of their income on foods, due to eating out or on take-home or fast food type of joints.

Well, Goatboy, what makes you think your persona is better than any fat person? Seems to me you can't make that claim and be fair dinkum. I don't see how anyone can claim he is better than others as persons. What a despicable statement to make on the net.

The BEST excuse for people not exercising is, "I am too busy" LOL.......

Education and money have nothing to do with being fat.
Didnt all of our grandparents come to this country poor and uneducated, but they were thin, because they ate a clean European diet and they believed gluttony and self indulgence were wrong. Plus they were not lazy like many of their grandchildren and great grandchildren are.
Enough said.

You claim to know all this shyte about training old man, how about using that "knowledge", helping your near and dear that are obviously fat beyond help, and make 'em lose the excess weight instead of bitching here on getbig?

The fat people of America cost this country an obscene amount of money to treat their obesity related diseases, and since most fat people won't do the right thing and off themselves, I encourage everyone to openly insult and discriminate against the obese and morbidly obese. Next time you see one, let loose!
North America is to far gone - the obesity can not be reversed as its all about $$... :'( A healthy nation takes money out of the Government's pockets/Economy...)

Fucking shit has anybody seen the show on discovery channel about the overbrook obesity clinic? Normally my first reaction to a fat fuck is the benefit of the doubt that they want to lose weight because face it their life must be horrible being so huge and nasty. I feel sorry for them. On this show though there was this 700lb man who almost died because the fat in his body was crushing his lungs. And what does he do? He gets food snuck into him by his fat white trash girlfriend(who also lives in the obesity clinic)!!!!!!
Fucking disgusting!!! :-X :-X

"Quality" is a minor consideration at best. Energy balance is the issue... people are either hypocaloric or hypercaloric, period. I think that's where most of the st00pid public fucks up in trying to lose fat. They focus too much on eating what they perceive to be "healthy stuff", and don't focus enough (or at all) on creating a calorie deficit.
no. energy balance is the issue only if the diet your consuming is a processed foods laden, unnatural, modern day diet. if you are consuming only natural foods...the ones are bodies have evolved to eat and process and digest and use... vegetables, organic meats, fruits, nuts.... then you will not be obese even if you are a huge eater. the problem is that years of eating all of this white flour, processed sugar, trans fats, and high fructose corn syrup has caused many people to become metabolicly diseased.. most obese people have hyper thyroidism, have insulin resistance, have some form of digestive disorder that was caused by inproper food intake. not excessive food intake.

You're wrong.
Eating "modern" calorie-dense foods, especially ones that swing blood sugar wildly make it difficult to maintain a calorie-deficit, but at base the issue is still energy balance, that doesn't change.

Did you bang fat chicks when you were fat?
-
all i know is reggie bush eats whatever the fuck he wants so that means exercise is more important than anything. i doubt any getbiggers (including myself) could hang with one of his workouts.
-
Fat people are gross and disgusting and should be kept in the Alcatraz to lose that nausiating fat or die.
-
Did you bang fat chicks when you were fat?

Most of the time they dont think they are fat but just "retaining water" thats the scary part. Nothing worse than a fat chick oozing into her fitness outfit to get a workout in at the gym.
-
Fat chicks seem to loose weight at last call.
