AMERICAN GLADITORS IS BACK FOR A SECOND ROUND!
The NO-HOLDS-BARRED hit competition series returns to prime-time television, with hosts Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali! We are looking for weekend warrior types that are BIG, bad, and athletic. If you think you have the heart, skills, and desire to COMPETE then we want to see you at THE GLADIATOR ARENA!
NBC has relaunched the classic competition series "American Gladiators" and is currently auditioning CONTENDERS and GLADIATORS for NEXT SEASON!

Follow the instructions below to find out how to make a video submission.
TO BE CONSIDERED AS A CONTESTANT:
1. Make a 5-minute personal videotape of yourself. You may include friends and family but show us your life and what makes you and your son/daughter great.
2. Fill out an application (include a recent photo of yourself)
3. Send it to our contestant department.

1. MAKING YOUR VIDEOTAPE
LENGTH: MAXIMUM OF FIVE MINUTES.
FORMAT: VHS/DVD, or miniDV
CONTENT: Start with your name, hometown, and occupation. There is no "right" or "wrong" thing to say on a tape, we just want to get to know you (BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE SOMEONE ELSE TAPE YOU). Take us on a tour of your life; show us what's important to you. What sets you apart from the other contestants? DON'T JUST TELL US, SHOW US! Briefly take us through your job, but most importantly we want to see you in ACTION. We want to see YOUR HOBBIES (i.e., If you ride horses or motorbikes, let's see you in action.) Show us what makes you-YOU! We want to see the town you live in. HAVE FUN and LET'S SEE YOUR PERSONALITY!!! The video must be original, truthful, unpublished, created solely by the submitting applicant, must not have been submitted in any other competition, and must not infringe upon any rights of any third party, including, but not limited to, copyright, trademark, and rights of privacy and publicity. In addition, your family must be the owner or legal lessee of the home or property depicted in the video, if any. The video must not include any music or singing.
2. FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION
Click here to download the Application. Adobe Reader is required to view the application. Click here to download a free copy if you do not have it installed. Please take your time and answer the questions honestly. We will only accept completed and signed applications if they are accompanied by your videotape.
Include a recent photo: Please enclose a recent personal photo. Make sure your photo(s) are clearly labeled with your names and phone numbers on the back. It is best, though not mandatory to send 2 clear photos of each person - one close up and one full body.
3. SENDING YOUR PACKAGE
The video will become the property of the Producers and will not be returned to you, whether or not you are selected as a contestant.
Applications will be considered only if they are complete. Completed applications consist of the following:
1) Completed and signed Application Form
2) Completed and signed Certification of Veracity
3) One separate photo of yourself
4) A recent resume
5) Your up to five-minute videotape clearly labeled with your name, address, and phone number.
Please do not include anything except the five items listed above.

This show is pretty bad...And what is with the super fat refs...The guy must be funding the thing or be a complete schome...I couldn't imagine for the life of me putting this thing all together and going with some refs who can't stay away from the canteen truck...
I'm sure chick will chime in with "the guy was a top level athlete years ago" blah blah blah...

It appears the show will be back:
Earlier this week Ben Silverman, a co-chairman of NBC Universal Entertainment, said he intended to order another round of “Gladiator” episodes.
“We’re going to figure out the smartest way to market, schedule and promote them,” he told TV Week. He indicated that a second season would start up sometime in the summer.

Once the writers that are currently striking go back to work you wont see any more of the episodes that are already in the can and no more will be made. count on that
