If you have a few dozen brain cells you'd like to lose, read what that guy has to say in that interview. Such epic stupidity is bound to kill off more than a few neurons...

GEEEEE... I can't imagine why this hideous tub of lard would be bitter at bodybuilders...
Bates finds redemption with bodybuilding, business

Mount Vernon News
Edie Bates, Dennis Bates
MOUNT VERNON — Dennis Bates once described himself as a “drug-dealing, pot-smoking, cocaine-snorting, pill-popping, acid-dropping, whiskey-drinking, steroid-shooting bodybuilder.” And just in case Bates’ alliterative phrase doesn’t stand on it’s own, he added “My life began to fall apart quickly.” ...

Hell, if I was as ugly and stupid as he is, I would turn to JC as well :)

Pro?????
Dude, with a physique like his, can't you tell he is a professional? ::)
-
Yeah, whoever wrote that article has a gooey stinking turd for a brain and should give up journalism altogether.
But then again, it takes someone of really low IQ to take Bates seriously enough to write an article about him.

So true, one of those 'born again' evangelists i bet.Why advertise, keep it to yourself eh.

I was at a show in DC and actually somebody gave me that book for free, I read the majority of it and it really sucked, the man did all the damage to himself, and not all of it was bodybuilding related, but he kept blaming it on that.
Sucked!

Did he recount his soap-dropping stories from prison when his Hershey tunnel of love was repeatedly ravaged and raped by 400 pound guys called Bubba? ???

A review of his "book" on Amazon.com:
This has got to be one of the dumbest books I have ever read. Not only is it really short he quotes the bible almost every page. There is very little info on anything he did. Save your money

Dude's definately out there......but I'd like to here his take on HRT for longevity.

Typical, no VERY typical. The first thing this guy mentioned about himself is that he is an ex steroid dealer and drug user. Most born agains who have hit a very low point in their lives usually through drug use are proud of the fact of what they used to do. Notice how he still puts himself and his sins first. He names all the bad stuff first and and leaves Jesus in the wings as he did and has done from day one. He is under the false impression that the only way to bring someone to God is to tell everyone that they are going to Hell, as if the rewards of Heaven are not reason enough to follow that path of Christ. Typical fire and brimstone delusionist.
You see the same thing in some of these ex celebrities. They fall from public stardom and all of the sudden find Christ. They first thing they will tell you about themselves is how famous they used to be and all the awards they have won, only then they will precede to tell you how unimportant all that was and how they were so lost. ::) The only thing that they have lost was their money and fame.
The same goes for Dennis, once he realized he couldn't reach his bodybuilding goals even with the help of drugs he not only turned against bodybuilding, but feels the need to destory the whole "sport" for everyone. It's sad in a way, this guy was so self consumed he feels the need to blame a BB organization for his delusions instead of looking inside himself to find the real problem. Dennis, just because you were so consumed with bodybuilding or anything for that matter doesn't mean it is a false religion. If that were the case then I worship a chocolate God and sugar is my religion. :P Dennis, it's not the answers from God that are wrong, you are simply not asking God the right questions. Hopefully Jesus will get through to you before it is too late. Your soul is at stake. I will pray for you.

He hears voices telling him what to do, I would say that qualifies him as in need of psychiatric help. And its not god hes talking to because I asked him about it and he said he never heard of this guy.

Dennis strikes me as one of those guys who would gladly kill for jeezus......
