Your body has to warm up water for it to be able to absorb it effeciently?
Anyone have a link that discribes how the process works and why?
Know the medical terminology of this function?
I thought it was the way your metabolism works or something but I hate giving half assed answers.

i don't neccesarily think that is true. i'm not sure that the pumps receiving nutrition in your gut are affected by temp, generally speaking. can't recall the physiology...
just remember my old wrestling coach warming up water to 98 degrees and making us chug it... three of us puked.
plus, drinking super cold water chills your body, which in turn increases your metabolism to maintain body temp.
