hey guys... i have been supplementating with plain old omega 3 that has some dha/epa in it...normally about 2 per meal.
i am wondering if the dha epa is what really matters..or if its the fat itself... and what the dosage needed really is??
i picked up this product on sale at the vitamin shoppe...and i want to know if it can replace my omega-3 capsules...

It's the EPA & DHA that counts.

EPA and DHA ARE the fatty acids.

well they sell pure epa and dha at the vitamin shopp for very cheap...and it doesnt contain any fat calories. (at least not on the label). so.....if i could get all the benefits of fish oil without any of the calories by taking dha/epa?? and how much dha/epa is needed in order to increase the breakdown of fats?

It has to. It is fat.

It doesn't sound like you have an understanding of the purpose of fish oil.
