Holy Shit !
from CNN: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#NV
I guess it makes some sense for people in Nevada to like a libertarian candidate
-
hmmmm......
-
Yeah but Romney blew Paul and McCain away, so I'm not sure what that says about Nevada.

From what I see, it makes zero sense.

According to AP (associated press) more than 25% of the Republican voters were Mormons with 9 out of 10 of those voting for Romney
did anyone notice just how small the pool of voters was for this primary
~ 10k for the Dems
~ 45k for the Republicans
I haven't been paying attention to this in the other primaries.
In fact I have never even voted in a primary myself although I will this year

Really ::) how did they pull off 25% mormon voters with only a 12% mormon population?
Latter-day Saint – 12%

With the low voter turnout, it's possible and it means the mormons came out in force while others stayed home.... Disgusting and it should be a lesson to Nevada, I'm sure the Mormons took a lesson from this.

Here's the AP quote and link: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5giZDjUrVk9p4HpVouqLhFbdtXTYAD8U95TLO0
"On the Republican side, Mormons comprised a quarter of those attending Nevada's GOP caucuses, and more than nine in 10 were voting for Romney. Romney is a Mormon, and his religion has been cited as a problem by some Republican voters"
This would work out to ~ 10,000 -11,000 voters being Mormon based on the total # of votes shown on the CNN tally

Fucking religion interferes with everything...in elections... :-\
