I'm not a fan of either, but I hear they're good bodybuilding foods.
Is it possible to cook it together? I remember on someone's video, a BBer threw his egg whites in the oatmeal and it all cooked together. Will this work?

it has been a couple months that I haven't touched any supplements at all..not even a post work out shake
too be honest I am feeling a little weaker but I have not lost any size...I am thinking about taking PWO shakes again.

I do it all the time...half cup of oats (I use a five grain cereal) cooked in a bowl, and 2 omega eggs and 1/2 cup whites cooked in a fry pan. I like my yolks a little on the runny side...I cook 'em up, then I throw them into the oatmeal, add a little salt and pepper, and mix it all together.
I think it tastes pretty good, but my husband thinks it's disgusting.

Stavios, I just mix up 8 egg whites and six whole eggs with some milk, hot sauce, salt, and pepper, then cook it on the griddle.
Tastes great and goes down really well with my morning coffee!

Quackery. LOL. Great word. Agree with your points, tho, panda. 240, you're thinking way too hard. Use your blender: a scoop. of protein, some oats, blueberries, half a banana, tbsp peanut butter, and a squeeze of honey + 1/4 cup water. Just one example. Fresh fruits are best.

I'm the same way. Rarely hungry in the morning. Are you taking the egg whites out of eggs or do you buy them in a carton? Because if they come in a carton they are pasturized (sp?) and are safe to drink. I do it every morning. 16 egg whites is about 50 grams of protein and it takes me about 30 seconds to drink them. They are not thick like when they come out of the egg, more like the consistency of water and just have a slightly salty taste.

I do that as well. What I like to do is put one egg raw into my oats with one banana,one tsp of flaxseed with 200ml of yogurt mix it together and it taste very nice.

Most of the time I'm fucking lazy to do anything, so I mix nudle's, eggwhite's and tuna fish cann (with water) in a bowl, scoop it up and eat it.

Rob, If you want the benefits of both try throwing a couple eggs in a blender with some oatmeal & maybe a little water/milk. Blend it until it's smooth & then cook like pancakes.

Use a blender and it should cook okay. I used to do this years ago. I'd use sugar-free syrup and "I can't believe it's not butter" spray.

heres what i've been eating for breakfast the last 5 + years; egg beaters(publix brand is cheapest) with oatmeal, handful of raisens- microwave for 30 sec- stir- repeat 2 or 3 times(very important not to cook for too long) take it out- little bit of carys sugarless syrup- scoop of whey protien- 1 sweet-n-low- mix it up good.... yummmy. breakfast of champions!

- 2 packets Low Sugar Apple Cinnimon Quaker Oats
- 2 whole omega eggs, 6 whites
- 1/4 cup water
- extra packet splenda and extra cinnimon
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Cook the Oatmeal and water in microwave for 45 seconds
Add in Eggs and whites, mix
Sprinkle in desired amounts of splenda and cinnimon
Add sea salt
Use non-stick pan with cooking spray, add mixture to pan and cook until golden brown.
Apple cinnimon oatmeal pancake.

eggs are cooked....add garlic seasoning and refrigerate
throw in the microwave the next morning....good shit!!

If im not mistaken ronnie puts his eggwhites on top of the oatmeal and then eats it very gently from the sides. How is your diet 240? Are you making gains lately?

I hate eggs - the only time I have them is mixed in with beef mince when I make my homemade burgers. Add some chopped up onions, some paprika powder, crushed chillies, mix all together and mold into patties. Each burger is 100g and provides 23g of protein. I have them every day.

I do that exact same thing and I think it tastes good. Even after putting it in the fridge for a few hours (if I'm taking it to work) it still tastes good to me.

you guys are crazy, take your time cooking them. Set the heat to medium, low, make sure you use a wask (sp) and then after your done cooking them eenly throw some cut veggies with some spray oil on and simmer them, and taste awesome.

Jusrt do what the Barbarian Brothers used to do. Mix a few raw eggs, protein powder, diet orange soda and a can of tuna in a blender. Hold your nose and drink it right from the blender. They did this everyday while we were at the hotel in Maui. Not sure if they did it all the time or not.

Make yourself an oatmeal pancake...
in a bowl mix
1. 1 cup of uncooked oats or as much or little as you want
2. 6 egg whites or as many as you want...I use egg beaters or egg substitute because they are actually cheaper/easier these days...
3. mix in as much cinnamon and sweet n low as you want
cook this in a frying pan like you would pancakes...I just make one huge one with like 2 dozen eggs and 2 to 3 cups of oats and get 2 or 3 meals out of it
This pancake will be dry so i use tons of I can't believe its not butter spray and all natty peanut butter and even some sugar free jelly and/or sugar free syrup...

a couple yolks are fine and can help out with test levels and help keep up a properly functioning thyroid, but i wouldnt advise anyone who is dieting, who has a slow metabolism, or just wants to keep some decent cuts to eat the yolk.

The biological value of the protein is higher when you eat both the yolk and the white. I think the slow digestion is a good thing too. Whey is absorbed so quickly most of it is probably used for energy and oxidized. Not to mention all the micronutrients in the yolk.
I tire quickly of eating whole eggs though.

ehhh egg whites have a biological value of like 97 as opposed to whole eggs at 100. if your worried about it take a bcaa tab with the egg whites and there you go, bio value of 100. yes..tons of micronutrients in the yolk. just alot of sat. fat though. no need for any saturated fat in the diet besides whats hidden in your lean meats.. a few grams daily from chicken and lean beef will give you PLENTY of saturated fat, and the iodine isnt needed if your using alot of sodium(iodized salt) like you should be...and my fish oil caps have the cholestrol in them, plsu red meat has got cholestrol too; so for my own self, i definitely should stick with the egg whites. some of you guys with fast metabolism should eat them though

Fast metabolism has nothing to do with whether you should eat the yolk or not. Say you eat lots of yolks but you're in a deficit, are you going to get fat?

caloric totals dont mean shit. get your head out of the 1970's... eating 10 eggs per day, that would be 45 grams of saturated fat, almost all of which will be stored as body fat. saturated fat is not like mono and poly in that it isnt readil;y used for energy. sure, if you only eat 1900 cals a day, and you burn 2000, that means you have 100 calories burned on top of what you ate, but that doesnt mean that nothing you ate was stored as fat... replace those 45 grams of saturated fat with 45 grams of poly or mono fat like omega 3 or flax or almonds and you will se a HUGE difference in what your body looks like at the end of the day. how so..even with the same amount of calories, the same percentage of macro's, and the same caloric expenditure? because the sat fat was sent directly to fat stores, where it was then burned only in partial..some glycogen was burned in place of that fat(if it were to have stayed around in the blood stream and waited to get burned up)..so you have burned up the same amount of calories, but you have more in your fat stores..
calories dont mean shit.
and egg yolks(in the present day) are saturated fat that can and should be replaced with much better nutrients and calories.

yeah...when dieting i think egg whites are the ideal food actually. 12 egg whites+unlimited broccoli+2 capusles of fish oil+2 capusles of cla+2 capsules of green tea extract every 2 and 1/2 hours, except breakfast(substitue broccoli with oatmeal) and post workout,(substitute broccoli with vitargo or waxy) will have the fat MELTING off of you..

caloric totals dont mean shit. get your head out of the 1970's... eating 10 eggs per day, that would be 45 grams of saturated fat, almost all of which will be stored as body fat. saturated fat is not like mono and poly in that it isnt readil;y used for energy. sure, if you only eat 1900 cals a day, and you burn 2000, that means you have 100 calories burned on top of what you ate, but that doesnt mean that nothing you ate was stored as fat... replace those 45 grams of saturated fat with 45 grams of poly or mono fat like omega 3 or flax or almonds and you will se a HUGE difference in what your body looks like at the end of the day. how so..even with the same amount of calories, the same percentage of macro's, and the same caloric expenditure? because the sat fat was sent directly to fat stores, where it was then burned only in partial..some glycogen was burned in place of that fat(if it were to have stayed around in the blood stream and waited to get burned up)..so you have burned up the same amount of calories, but you have more in your fat stores..
calories dont mean shit.
and egg yolks(in the present day) are saturated fat that can and should be replaced with much better nutrients and calories.
