Title: Vets from the old era, regale us youngsters around here with stories

From the old era. Before corporate gyms took over. Back when every town had its own little hole in the wall where there were hardcore lifters, not pansy ass weekend warriors. It seems I was born a little too late to experience this era and I'd like to know what it was like.

Man I wish I was around then.  Looking at family photos and watching shows from the sixties and seventies it looked like a much more carefree, fun time.  Not that there wasn't problems then too, but the world really seems to be going to shit lately.  I just get a bad vibe on the future as a whole.
