Besides, who cares about weight - its not like they are in a powerlifting contest. When Ronnie deadlift 800 lbs does anyone say, "That's not so great because he weighs over 300 lbs - that's just like a 200 lb lean guy deadlifting 500 lbs for 2 reps which is no big deal!" ::)

He had trouble squating 405 for 6 reps at Frog's Solana beach.
If he was a strong mofo it sure as hell was not his legs.

Oh yeah? Well in his his video he does 405 for 10 reps at the end of his workout and that's not even his heaviest set.
Earlier in the workout he does 9 plates a side deep, ass to the heels hack squats for reps!

Yes he would do 3 plates for chinups at the end of his workout for partial reps, but still - 3 plate and end of workout!

Errr...that is a Flex Hack Squat, not a free bar squat, and I could smoke Nasser on BOTH hacks and free bar squats-and routinely did smoke him at Frog's.
But, that is not really saying much, because when you can barely hit 405 for 6 at a BW of over 300, well, you're a pathetic weakling, and getting smoked like that is not too hard for even a novice 1st year BBer.

Nasser was the weakest pro BBer I have ever seen.
Even Shawn Ray, at 5'5 and 220 pounds could rep out 405 fairly easily.

pity those weights didn't do anything to stop him injecting CRAZY amounts of oil in him....
if only he spent more time training and dieting, he may have looked a bit better... but oh well there is always the oil for him ;D

Those are not 35's moron they are 25's and that was done in a Flex photo shoot with Lee Priest and he also did the same weight, and we all know how real flex shots are

Number one, JP didn't "break his legs." His tendons snapped and/or tore.
Apparently JP had used more weight than that the week prior so he felt this was a safe weight, even being a few weeks out from a contest.
And what does Hack Squats have to do with Free Bar Back Squats? Two different movements, and very different poundages used in either exercise.

Also Huge Nasser does not train to be a powerlifter or always try to use the heaviest weights possible. He trains smart to avoid injuries. He usually only goes to failure on one set per exercise, and otherwise uses moderate weights for greateer sets and reps to build/maintian muscle while lessening the change of injury.

I believe that was one of the reasons Flex started using fake plates. If you've ever seen a photo shoot they sometimes make the guys hold the weight in one position while they snap numerous shots. No point in having a guy hurt himself trying to lift crazy weights for a photo shoot when he's probably got to do his regular workout later that day anyway.
