Only if it has a mexican jiujitsu room.  Too bad he has to trade his hams and calves for a 40 inch waist.

As long as he comes ripped like at the 04 Olympia he can get Top 3.

His legs dont look small, as soon as he drops the water and ads some color they will come together with the rest of his physique.  His back looks awesome.  This is going to be a good Ironman.

Fifth place or top five?  I think he will be top five.  I think he can quite possibly do a little better than that.  I would like to see how Phil does against him as that will more narrowly show the world exactly what level Phil is on, rather than broadly stating "Phil is top 10" which we already know.  I think it's safe to say he's top six in the world and I am really curious to find how where he ultimately ends up at the Olympia also.

I remember the last photos that came out, he looked really good in them. I think his back was enormous, and his legs were really separated if memory serves.

But these photos show almost an entirely different person, same background though. :P

i'm not a fan of gustavo, but his upper body is looking good there...
his waist seems to have gotten smaller (or he can just control it a bit better). his legs could be a bit bigger but to me he looks in decent shape 3 weeks out

Honestly and no racism here but nobody named GUSTAVO can be mr o or arnold classic winner

he looks much improved the waist is in check, his legs will look a lot bigger when he drops his water, the seperation will add to the illusion, i think he could look his all time best here, maybe even win or top 3

He improved his back, but from the waist down he still has a long way to go.

Legs aren't very good and he seems to have trouble sucking in that gut on the side-triceps. He's not getting any better...

Gustavo will never have striated glutes, to me he looks behind schedule, he will place 5 at the ironman, and maybe top 6 at the O.

I think he looks better than I thought he would. He could win it! Don't think Heath can match that size....YET!!! He's back is awsome. I thought he was over, but I might be wrong!

Ironman here we go, can barely wait!

he always does look smooth, this is hard for him 3 weeks out, i think he can win it, top 3 Wolfe Heath and Gustavo, his legs always look smaller when their not in contest shape.  I believe if he nails it he will win, his waist is the key its a lot smaller, hopefully he wont over carb and blow it out, if he does Heath and Wolfe will take him, but i believe hes the most complete.

looks like he's trying to peak for the arnold and not the ironman...

Using the ironman just as a tune-up and will give it 100% in columbus.

Heath is just as big

Phil is no where near Gus's size and muscle maturity. Just look at the thickness in Gus's back. Phil's back is subpar.

Same old NATURAL Gustavo BADELL

If Gustavo had brought his '04-'05 Olympia shape to last year's Olympia, he probably would have won.  He's very good in the mandatory poses when his waist is in check.

With Badell's condition, I believe the rest of the pack have to battle for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th,....... etc

Are you saying that's it's no use in competing in an IFBB competition when you are 100% NATURAL??

gus has the myostatin blocking gene so obtaining massive muscular size has never been a problem for him. he simply doesn't need to take drugs like the other genetic inferiors.

besides, he works harder than anyone else in the gym.

Hey WBB, what ever happened to your life partner Chris Cook???

Is he done in BBing?

Gus looked good at the o last year and got overlooked.  he did a great job bringing his waist down.  We'll see what happens at the arnold...for some reason I think his time in the spotlight may have passed....

It would appear so.  He had a quick rise and an ever faster fall.  Word on the street is that he is doing pretty well these days, living a fairly normal life.

Itīs all about his conditioning at Contest-time....

at the Mr. Olympia he looked better on the press conference than 1-2 days later on stage....

for me, something between 2.-6. Place

I believe that Phil Heath will take the show.
