Title: Another hard core bodybuilder banned from mass-market gym
Post by: dantelis on February 01, 2008, 10:08:30 AM
Looks like another bodybuilder was banned from a mass-market gym, this time in New Zealand.  Guess he was banned for posing too much in front of the mirrors and the "intense nature of his workouts."

The issue is NOT bodybuilding or hard training, etc. Face it folks , many in our midst are misfits in normal society.
I love bodybuilding, but have began to have qustions about the current dress and drug habbits of many in it.

From what I read  in the article. To me that sounds a pit over the the top what is wrong with droping weights when training. I do that at my gym and I dont hear members or Personal trainers etc complaining.I would have to rate itup when I heard about a male who got kicked out of Plante fitness for gruting which I thought was also over the top as well.

I never made a comment one way or the other whether he should or shouldn't have been banned.  Just passing on the news.

Personally, I think if he is a "hardcore" bodybuilder, he should find a old, fashion hardcore gym to train in.  Unfortunately, too many of these hardcore gyms have closed down, so if guys like this wan to train, they have three options:

1.  Train at home
2.  Train at the local commercial, mass-market gym
3.  Open his own hardcore gym and train there

Depending on how many gyms are in this guy's town, he may only have two options at this point.

i would have kicked him out also...He is a world class asshole...Oil in his arms etc...

The next guy i would have banned for sure would be Mike Arvilla...Another world class douch bag who needs to keep his fcking shirt on...Even if its just posing in the aerobics room...No one wants to see it for crying out loud...

On the contact form, list your name as "Vince Basile".    ;D

Here's a bit about Vince:

A guy got banned in a gym (my hometown) because he kept going in the public jacuzzi/whirl pool and taking his shorts and underwear off.  Thw whirlpool wasnt in either the mens or the womens locker room but in the public paret of the gym next to some equipment.

This guy was in his 40s, bad mustache with thick glasses. Hed just be sitting in there naked, and someone would get creeped out and go tell the gym owner.  After two or three warnings they banned the guy.

I like Mike A and think he is a good guy, but your post just cracked me up for some reason I am still laughing as I read it again.

Face it, if these guys didn't want ATTENTION they would never have any trouble.
They come into a nice, classy health club dressed like some freak reject from a yard sale. Then they make a bunch of noise due the training "intensity" and do this attention seeking obnoxious posing in the mirrors. They fart , belch and drop the wts and wonder why mainstream gyms don't want them?????geeeeeeeeeesssh

Maybe the owner just gets tired of roided up douchebags walking around the gym like they own the place. ;)  Slamming weights so people notice them and flexing their overnight muscle gains every chance they get. ::)

I've never understood why some people get mad about dropping DBs.  At the first gym I ever trained at it was almost encouraged.  If you didn't break a DB every now and again you weren't respected.

You can't be serious.

The one piece DB I can see dropping (maybe)

But dropping the DB's with plates is just fucking disrespectful.

would it be disrespectful to sit in a public whirlpool naked and stare at female gym members ?

The guy always acted like the gym owner was being unreasonable, that he was doing absolutely nothing wrong and the gym owner must be crazy.
