I've been saying it for years... esp. an Open Weight GP... would make it so much fun and interesting.. plus no belts would really change hands it would just be for a trophy and cash... would be awesome!

I'm against tournaments, too much chance and risk of injuries.

It's interesting to look back at the old UFC and see how long the fighters were fighting though - Shamrock fought Royce for 36 minutes without a break, these days some fighters can't fight 5 minutes without getting outta breath, makes you wonder about how much the fighters really has evolved?

GP's aren't allowed by the athletic commissions due to the fact that each fighter is required to take a set amount of time off after a fight. Well, at least they wouldn't be able to do the semi's and finals in the same night like Japan.

and they should also allow steroids like pride did!!
