Was Eli getting away from the New England passrushers and making that 32 yard miracle completion to Tyree the best play in superbowl history?
If not best play, then best completion then reception combo.. Tyree had to fight off Rodney Harrison and make sure he had control of the ball by pressing the ball against his helmet in midair while Harrison tried to stop him.. It was awesome.
And Eli getting away from the pass rushers.. omg I was watching and was sure that they were gonna sack him, but he got away. Not something you'd expect from Eli.
To me it was the greatest play I've seen in any type of sport.

greatest play in super bowl history!!!
I agree, all things considered it might be the greatest play in SB history. The G-men outplayed us in every area of the game. Oh well.

I was amazed at that play by Eli. that play will help define his place in SB history, like Elways rush for the first down that helicoptored him.
-
The announcers had actually called the "sack" before he went down... and then he kept rolling...
Amazing... It shows how much the Giants wanted this game.
They played their hearts out and it paid off for them.
Congratulations to the Superbowl XLII champs the New York Giants!

Here is the best catch in superbowl history along with Swann's.

Would anyone remember that catch if the Giants had lost the game?

Would anyone remember that catch if the Giants had lost the game?
Yes, but it wouldn't be nearly as important.

True... The play would stand on its own right, but now... with it keeping a game winning drive alive...
It may be hall of fame worthy.

Would anyone remember that catch if the Giants had lost the game?
Would anyone remember Franco Harris immaculate reception, or Lynn Swan's reception if the Steelers had lost?
Like tu said, it kept the game winning drive alive.. A drive that lead to probably the biggest Superbowl upset ever. A game between Boston and NE and the NY metro area..
Imo, it was certainly the greatest play I've ever seen.
