If a black man can win in the DEEP south - over a white southerner like Clinton...
If Obama can win Georgia, what will he do in traditionally less-racists states?

I voted for him and I am 49 yr old white male living in Ga.
The guy is brilliant, and that pretty much sums it up.
Long way to go and don't count team Clinton out at this pt.

Georgia is 30% made up of African Americans though.
-
If he wins, I give him a year before he's assassinated.

yeah, but NBC news is saying that over half the white people there voted for Obama.

List 10 reasons why he's brilliant and I'll be impressed.

This has been a sad reality even during the campaiign and part of the reason he has a secret service detail even now.
Iowa is 95% white and he won there a well.
Hillary is a solid canidate overall, but is not the statesman that Obama is.
I liked Ron Paul, but saw him fall behind quickly.
I like Mitt Romney on economic issues but find him to be all over the map on other issues.
-
wow... early in the voting...
Obama got 64% of the vote in GA.
Hilary only got 30% :o
If Obama wins by that much (it might change) in a down south state, imageine how he'll do in other places!
-
Agreed with those who are saying that the Democrats need to promise to keep down taxes on capital gains.

Hmmm, but the delagte count is fairly proportional in all states for the dems.
This was a BIG win for Obama here in Ga.
Cal and Missouri will be the best indicator test overall.

California is all the matters, my friend.

Easy, he was the first black to be elected to head the Harvard Law Review.
His abilty to analyze dat and make judgements indicates a keen intellect in my opinion.
Just listen to the guy speak on any issue for a few minutes.
Figgs did you vote for Ron Paul?

Are you kidding? He's much more likely to win in the southeast than elsewhere... the states there are the highest % black of any region, and Hillary is seriously disliked there. (also, she isn't a southerner... she just married one).

Sure he's charming but he doesn't talk about anything. He won votes because of his personality. He dwells on the menial issues that divide us and never speaks about anything that matters, such as our economy, the dying dollar, our empire spread thin around the world, the constriction of the military industrial complex, the federal reserve, etc etc etc. Yet Ron Paul constantly addresses these vital issues. Yes, I voted for Ron Paul.
-
Obama needs a virtual split in California.
I still have Clinton as the way out frontrunner on the Democratic side, but maybe God will man up and strike that bitch dead.

I agree with you on most of the issues your mentioned here, thus I was a Ron Paul supporter.
I even sent him 100 bucks 3 mos ago. Sadly, he never gained the needed traction to catch fire and win.
Obama can get things done and actually work with others. He will be great for our international policy and standing in the world. The guy just has that special "it" as sappy as it sounds LOL
-

Thanks to the media, who marginalized him every chance they got.
Who's a more "credible" candidate: a 10-term Congressman who's also an M.D. and was an Air Force Captain, or some kid who has been in the Senate all of 2 years? ::)

While I agree with your assessment, I don't think we should be talking about Ron Paul vs Obama. We need to cheer for both of the 'good guys'. :)

lol...you are an idiot..isn't that the point of being a politician?
umm..tell me of anyone that new clinton outside of arkansas
or Reagan in CA ::)

Figgs, tell me what the Bush platform and experience prior to being president?
same for JFK, FDR and so on..
basically you want someone with presidential experience who has not been president

Obama's speeches are all ear candy, no substance, just like a lot of your rambling posts on G&O. ;D

That is why things never change.
Your attitude is shared by millions and if you all voted in what you believed in regardless of wether it was popular with the rest of the sleeping population or not, it could have made a difference. Maybe not a presidency but a chance to get the message of freedom from big government out to much more people.

Is it me, or does Hillary seem extremely miserable under her false smile ;D
-
wow he won Georgia :o Shocker
I heard they even let the polling stations stay open late so as the Obama people could drive voters to the booth.

The problem is, supporters of true candidates of change let the media talk them into the notion that "he has no chance", and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. The mass media represents the status quo... they will marginalize any candidate who wants to make wholesale changes whether they are good for the country or not.
What we need is a libertarian-leaning "Manchurian Candidate"... talk the talk like he's a "regular politician", say whatever he needs to say to fool the media and get elected, then once in the White House, take the mask off, change his tune, and say what really needs to be said instead.

I've beeen thinking that more and more everyday. Get someone that says one thing but once elected does what they are suppose to do for the people.
The way the mass media fucked us over on this election was more blantant then I've ever experienced in my life. I just don't understand how people can't see through it.
