i usually have a protien shake right after im done lifting and right before i jump on the treadmill or bike..one guy suggested i down it as fast as i can to get it inside me and working..another guy at the gym says i should sip it over the course of about an hour so my body uses all the protien and that this method is more effiecient...whitch way is better...im for gulping it down

I down it in one go. supposedly it needs to get to its destination as soon as possible. If you're having it during training then just sip it.

You’d probably do well with either method.
My only recommendation is to make sure you also get some REAL food in you within an hour after your workout.
I’ve always considered the shake something to hold me over until that food comes.

There is a 30 min. window after a workout that you need to get protein, carbs in to start the recovery process. Whey and Waxy being the best because it digests fast!! Then eat a meal an hour after the shake. Meal should be protein, carb as well....

Do your cardio right after lifting, then drink the shake. Gulp, sip, whatever you want but wait until after cardio

I jumped on the Waxy Maize bandwagon over this past summer.
I took it by itself and was very pleased with the results.
Research lead me to understand that mixing certain things – particularly aminos – slows the starch’s absorption, thereby defeating one of its greatest benefits.
Do you mix your whey with the WM and consume both together?
I was thinking of consuming WM immediately after completion of my WO.
About 20 min later drink my shake.
Then about 20-30 min after that, eat my food.
What do you think?

Yeah, yeah, I am not sold on the aminos slowing digestion...I drink, I mean GULP whey and waxy together.
I am hungry on the nose 1 hour later.

i have always been under the impression that digestion starts in the mouth by enzymes in our saliva, which is probably
one reason we chew our food and don't swallow it whole.....so i always take in a mouthful at a time and let the saliva
mix before swallowing....
