Foo Fighters won, Amy Winehouse :-X performed. I guess you didn't see that.

Glad to see Kanye got his stupid Grammy. It was more for sympathy from his mother dying than anything else.

Does Kanye write his own music? Or even his own lyrics?

Yes, but he tends to do his own beats, he teamed up with Timbaland for "Stronger"

Most people who listen soley to rap, couldn't even tell you what 4/4 is...haha  I remember a story of when P. Diddy was working with Jimmy Page on the "Come with Me" track...Jimmy page said he wanted to modulate a note from a C to a D.  P. Diddy replied, "I don't know what you mean with all the C and D talk."
haah, What's more sorry than the people making this shit, are the utter idiots who buy it.  You put some kind of danceable beat to anything, most club going idiots will think it's "hot" and buy the record.  Once an artist has a name, he can put out dog shit and the stoned guido club goers will think it's "amazing".
Missy Elliot: King of one bar loops.
Kayne West: Guy uses a pitch shifter on already classic songs
Mediocre shit always rises to the top.  Granted, there aren't many good rock bands today either.  I usually don't value anyones opinion on music, unless they actually know a little something about it.
For the past 12 years, it's been complete crap, always on the top of the charts.  The whole hip hop thing is the worst thing to happen to music, since Kiss. ;)

My favorite: Missy Elliot

No, but similar garbage will still be top on the charts.  Consider how unintelligent the average person is, there lies your music sales figures. ;)  One thing is true, you'll never see a great musician with a sub par IQ.

I agree with you. I was just watching Busta Rhymes on Youtube, his joints "Gimme Some More", Party Goin' On over Here" were off the hook. Then there was a vid of him with Timbaland, and Tim had a beat that was okay ::), yet Busta was saying it was tight and started writing a rhyme for it. Comparing that to his late 90's stuff, it was mediocre to say the least.

He sang one time without that damn voice modulator shit, and he was wack as hell. Even Donnie Simpson ( of Video Soul fame) said he was a s well.He is a gimmick, yet, don't tell that to all the women that flock to him in the club

T-pain is like what vanilla ice and new kids on the block were, they have there time, every artist wants a song with him, cause it gets radio play which = sales and popularity..without his voicebox his whack, hell with it his shit too

Was it just me or did Tina Turner look like she was in allot of pain. I've never seen anyone try to dance and keep there head so still. However Morris Day and the Time didn't seem to lose a step for a band thats like almost 30 years old. Not a bad show but I thought it was in bad taste for Kanye to say what he said. I realize he wanted to talk about his mother but there is allot of people who wanted to talk. The more time he took up the less time someone else was getting. Guess he didn't see it that way but what does he care he's "running this now". ::)

Tina Turner has had a lot of plastic surgery, that that tight look in her face is a result. Her 60+ year old ass can't grow old gradually. I was surprised to see her here, she hates the States.

Morris Day heads up a band for Micheal Baisden, for the show "Baisden After Dark"
