i don't want to hear about Mendy, Rychlak, Kennelly or any of them, watch the form, watch the ease and the poundage, absolutely insane and i've never even heard of him. :o
-
No Hoornstra is stronger, younger, and lighter than this guy.
Not to take anything away from this guy, 500x8 raw is sick.

i'd have to agree..there's a big difference between 500 for 8 and 675 for a single.
-
hahaha, you little fagggots obviously didn't see the video, he pushed 605 so ridiculously east that it looked like 185 for most guys, this guy is at least as strong as Hoornstra.
-
Don't count Nick Winters out either
Somebody should organize a raw bench press comp. Get all the best raw guys and the winner takes home 10 grand.

Hey Jeremy, I heard that you only focus on getting as strong as possible in the benchpress, and don't really focus on squats and deads.
Is this true?

I bet Winters, and Mendelson would be too, you just need somebody to set this up.
How about it Chris Mason? Could AtLarge Nutrition set something like that up?
-
I would definitely be in for supporting such a meet. $10,000 exceeds what we could do right. My Getbig bretheren could help that by helping us grow! ;D
If the meet had the right promoter I would be in for a couple of grand at least.

Until he benches in a meet, we have no idea if he's better, do we.

he has benches in MANY meets, he was a top lifter in the 90's, his name is Mike Siegler, check it out.

Yeah powerlifting currently doesn't have guy that could pull this off successfully.
I'm positive there would be a market on ESPN for this kind of thing if it's just marketed right because there is no shirt controversy, everybody that has done any lifting at all can relate to a big raw bench.

No man, I have a "bodybuilding like" routine, bodypart a day. I hit deads, squats, military presses, bentover rows, and bench every week as a power movement and then throw in auxillary sets after each. I just did deads today actually. I'm by no means a deadlifter for two reasons, haven't been doing it as long as I've been benching which is since I was 13 and deadlifting maybe three years now, and I'm more built for benching. I have shorter arms and when I deadlift, I use almost all back. I squat every week as well and actually did 675 for a set of 5 and 765 for a set of 3 on Monday but just getting back into them after my injury. My lifts are decent but I know I will always be a little bit more known for my bench so that is what people will only hear.

A quick google search turned up a 500 pound bench as a 242 ten years ago in the USAPL. Impressive for sure, but not the best ever.

are you slow? i'm not saying that the 500 at 242 is the best ever, i'm saying what he did in that clip is the best ever, fuccking moron.
-
And what I'm saying is the "best ever" should do it in a meet. You know, Powerlifting.
