Title: bleeding after shot
Post by: DirtyDirt on February 14, 2008, 05:58:14 AM
I took 1 cc cyp and 1cc deca in my tri yesterday, as soon as i pulled the pin out i bled like a freak, did i loose the gear in this shot? i'm unsure why this happened, i aspirated prior to injecting and i hadn't worked my tris recently....any ideas?

Probably just hit a vien on the way in...no big deal, the gear is still in the muscle tissue.

??? i though site injections were a thing of the past, just shoulder, glute and quad.
do site injections really benefit more?? not needed IMO

They are.  Some users just like certain muscles for injection.  As you get on in this game, smooth sites get harder to find because of scar tissue.

2cc's into the tricep is a lot of oil for that muscle to handle, unless you've got 22" guns =)

funny to see you know im still new to this, although my question is the fact the DirtyDirt sounds also new, and i wonder why would he be injecting into his triceps where i doubt he has large amounts of scar tissue. i was just wondering if he was told that site injection is beneficial. IMO if he is asking about bleeding after a shot, he must also be a newbie, therefore advice was giving to him that was misleading

i am somewhat new you are correct, i've just heard so many stories about scar tissue that i rotate, tris, delts, quads and glutes to keep the muscle fresh.....is this not neccessary, i'm not shooting more then 2x per week....

i dont give a shit about scar tissue on my ass. and from my experience, every other place makes me too goddamn sore.   so i think i will stick with alternating ass cheeks.

I was a little because I felt you'd only done two or three shots. Lighten up some.

Serious note you should care about scar tissue. If you get a lot built up it'll be a bitch to shoot through.  ;)

Having a needle bend on the way in will change your mind about not giving a shit about scar tissue real quick.

don't believe scar tissue will be much of a factor at these doses and times per week... its alwas personal preference i guess
although don't believe that your sites won't be fresh if you are rotating delt, glute, quad sites properly, you'll also cause more scar tissue in the tri's and over time will be harder to inject into during your cycle, being that triceps are a smaller part

my tip for helping avoid scar tissue other than the obvious rotating injection sites - use the highest needle gauge possible.  It is alot harder to shoot oil though a 25g pin as opposed to a 22g one, but imo it is worth it.

I've used to use 22's and have switched to 25's in the past several years and yea, it's a little more difficult but you don't even feel the needle going in.

you do know to inject in the upper outer quadrant of the glute correct?  if so i appologize but you seem new to this and I wouldnt want you to hit your sciatic nerve by mistake.

On that note I noticed that I get less pain from a higher guage needle. If I ever do another cycle I'll be using 22's or 23's.

I use 23's since I started using. No problems so far, smooth as silk.

Got a question...anyway to determine if there is a build up of scar tissue before you shoot or you will know when you go in? Like what Emmortal said about the needle bending.

Freak said it is harder to find smooth muscle to shoot, but what are some signs of too much scar tissue??

Sounds like it is something you find out the hard way :-\

You guys are right about scar tissue, but everyone should realize that this is not something that is going to mound up over night...it takes a long time...several, several injections.

I have given myself a shot (b12 :)) with a 23g 1.5 needle into the right thigh which, as soon as I pulled the needle out, spurted about 2 feet onto the floor.  I aspirated and I must of hit a vein because it was no small amount of blood.  Freaked me out but has never happened since.

NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT, THE "SQUIRT" HAPPENED TO ME ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO, IT WAS THE FIRST, LAST AND ONLY TIME IT'S EVER HAPPENED, TOOK FOREVER TO GET THAT DAMN STAIN OUT OF THE RUG...LOL I'll be  honest with you guys though, i know there have been a bunch of posts regarding site injections, but i love shooting in the tris, its the same feeling that was described when shooting pump and pose and then going to the gym and training them, they feel like they are going to explode....I will stop it now, or cut down dramatically going forward and use the glutes more often, delts, kill me for some reason, i get really really sore...
