No!!
He was flawless , hope this helps :-*
-
His thighs and calves were a little small in relation to the upper body, in addition to lats that could've been wider. The synthol business didn't help his rep either.
-
I know this has naught to do with muscle development....but his greatest weakness was his shitty attitude.
-
didn't Flex have implants in his calves
-
flex was unreal early on.
the sunthol shoulders ruin the memory of him tho.
-

This was before synthol, he used escaline. Calves went form 16 to 20 inches.
-
Narrow clavicles in comparison to bigger guys. Longer torso and higher lat and pec insertions. Otherwise perfect.
-
Such nitpickers. :P
I'd have to look pretty hard to find a flaw in the '93 Flex. I never noticed his chest development to be a glaring weakness.
-
depends, do you consider the brain a muscle.?
-
;D
-
i think flex was perfection in his prime... lotta bodybuilders always say there the uncrowned mr o , i think hes the only one that is. he had the smallest joints ...
-
In his prime, Flex was unbeatable !!!!

Flex in his prime had the best lines of ANY BBer in history (Paris, Reeves a close second).

Close, but not better than Nubret. A small crowd in that group though, only a few.
Wheeler never winning the Olympia's just another example of the BS behind many of the contest results. Others like Padilla, Robinson and Fox were also robbed, which is why there was a wholesale defection/retirement of most of the top BBs from Weider in the late 70s/early 80s. The most amazing thing about it is that Weider has been able to hold on to any degree of legitimacy, many on getbig for example accept the decisions as gospel, and clearly put those who were permitted to win above those who weren't.

Serge Nubret has a great, balanced physique, especially for the 60/70's, but Flex was better.

In one of the Youtube vids that shows him training prior to the 1992 USA's, I was surprise how small his chest was...but when he was dry and on stage, it didn't seem like a weakness, it flowed with his physique...

No on bested Nubret in terms of lines combined with size, but Flex was right next in line. Two glaring examples of guys who in fair shows easily win the Olympia.

Bad chest compared to Levrone and Coleman, oil shot delts and arms, and a lack of hardness later in his career.

Serge was never better than Arnold

Serge was never better than Arnold
Certainly not the 75 Olympia, Arnold was more complete-size+shape+condition.
I will say that Serge Nubret had incredible lines, and could have wn any contest he entered (except 75 O) depending on what judging criteia was being used (lines/shape v size).
One of the BEST BBing shots ever right here!

Don't forget the 72 O. He could not and did not beat Arnold or Sergio
