Title: New sneakers / trainers
Post by: w8m8 on February 15, 2008, 05:59:19 AM
Spring is coming and I'm going back to running outdoors instead of being stuck on the treadmill.
I want / need to buy a new pair , and have been liking and looking at the Nike Shocks but I would appreciate any recommendations of any others .

anyone ?

I don't like Shox too much, as they don't offer much arch support.
I am flat footed and tend to over-pronate when I run, which gives me shin splints.

I have used nothing but Saucony Stabil's for about 8 years (a new pair every 6-8 months), and I LOVE them.  They are awesome for running and all kinds of training.

that adidas is either the gigabounce or the megabounce.......both great shoes........

though im not a woman, i am a pronantor and i love love love brooks shoes....and with a wide foot as well, i am a New Balance whore....

i dont know about them breaking down, but i had a pair of 991's and they lasted forever, and the 1006's another great pair.

the problem with Shox, is, like rip said, have very little support.  they would be ok for just running.  in Nike, the Air Max 360, or 180....both super cushioned.  only thing is they cut their shoes very narrow.....
