Title: GOLD's GYM
Post by: BigDave81 on February 16, 2008, 05:36:44 PM
Is becoming a family gym! They just took away all the dumbbells from 150's to 80's because they said it scared customers. Now they made a rule that we can't deadlift at all, or bench or squat over 405lbs! Whats coming of the world now. Wasn't gold's Gym built on Arnold and harcore training? Anyone else have the same problems?  >:(

looks like no more 150lb dumbbell incline presses for 12-15 strict reps for you, "bigdave81"  ::)

Not for that many, I lift heavy and I did the 150's for 6 perfect form, trust me, I'm not one of these people that try to show out on heavy weight, but thats what I need to grow...

so now you can just do 12 perfect reps with the 75s and you'll get the same result. problem solved, thread over.

The purpose of the thread was not to boast about weight that I lift it was to see if anybody else had the same issues. You missed the point. I heard that gold's Gym was doing this all across the country and I just wanted to find out if that was true. Any by the way, I don't lift more than 6 reps so the 75's would do nothing for me. Thanks for the concern.

Scott Alexander would not approve; then again he could probably buy his own gym with 300lb dumbells that no one would ever lift.

No, Scott Alexander is known as "No 1"

Ok, basically yes he cares for his million dollar looks but he seeks women. He has sex with very fine women. A far cry from penis to rectum contact.

i actually work out at a golds gym and they just added another set of 80 through 150lb dumbbells to the stretching area.  pretty ironic.

He's worth a 100 million.

He could hire a gang of assasins to jack you up and sodomize you with a pogo stick.

no need to squat with more than 100 pounds

i use the 35 pound dumbells for squats and my quads are perfect, just my bodyfat is too high

405 pound squatting is for fatasses and juicers and ego lifters no offense

You must break down muscle tissue when you train in order to build muscle.

If you do this with high loads(force on muscle tissues) it will be effective.

The Scott Alexander training system is the answer to these questions.

Scott Alexander is the alpha male. A multi-millionaire who could probably buy the IFBB and make everyone here his bitch.

personally i beleive that consistency is most important as in EVERYDAY TRAINING with ZERO days off

ive been painting and working on houses and construction jobs for YEARS and NEVER stopped working out

i never worried too much about lifting heavier just DOING it every day and not givin a damn about people telling me im overtraining

the human body can be an immortal workhorse slave machine, that was our design

but through the years of misinformation the human kind has lost its confidence and knowledge

one must make up a reality as if they were the only human for survival and only could rely on themselves (meaning NO days off! because you have no one to rely on but yourself)

You should teach a class.

Not being allowed to deadlift at all is a disgrace, seriously.

I'd complain to the manager and if you get no joy then try giving Scott Alexander a call. He would be pretty angry about this and would no doubt send his henchmen round to convince this douche to reconsider.

schooling is about teaching disinformation 'textbooks' created by evil people yes its true. has anyone ever really retained anything from highschool or knowledge, i mean 'real' wisdom, besides the fact realising schools learn you jack shit?

you graduate from college you get a degree, one degree out of 360 degrees of knowledge, very basic stuff

the vatican has the library of all the ancient and forgotten books with the real information, people like him who are protected and the biggest satanists of all who have destroyed cultures and there history and stolen it from them to gain power and control

College teaches you how to think critically  with a specific faculty orientation for your degree. Or, it should. And I agree regarding the Vatican. It would be one of my fantasies to see their 'hidden' library and art repositories.

Of course.

Scott Alexander would be upset about lack of proper back development for the men he's trying to set an example for.

I'm thinking it's just the gold's I am at too as well. I know I don't post much on here, but to anwser some questions, I am not jealous of Scott alexander because I had no idea who he is. And I do compete in bodybuilding contests, mainly natural competitons, but I have won untested shows as well. I have pictures if anybody wants proof.

i have some college experience myself

its all cram studying to do go on a test, (short term memory)

for any subject , then being tested on short term memory function

its a horrible system unless you are one of those people that study 10 hours a day literally then of course your going to learn it but killing off a whole day studying is very unhealthy physically

thinking critically is just playing devils advocate on every fact, alot do not have this common sense

most peoples brains are too slow from lack of there physical health and they waste a decade of there lives to get a stupid degree, when they couldve bought some land and been a carpenter and built a house and became fit at the same time
