Title: Signature Pose for bodybuilders is important
Post by: leannmean on February 17, 2008, 05:57:55 AM
This is something very important to be a good competitive bodybuilder.

Serge Nubret- His 3/4 relax pose

Sergio Olivia- Arms over head

Frank Zane- His Vacuum pose is still the best out there

Flex Wheeler- His Back double Biceps due to his back thickness and muscle shape is unique

Lee Priest- His Arm over head is unique, smae pose as Sergio but magnificent in a different way

Bob Paris- his 3/4 kneeing pose, Shawn Ray in the same pose look quite good too

Nowadays, bodybuilders seldom have any signature pose any more.

I don't have it in front of me...but in an old (mid 70's) Muscle Builder...there was an article of Arnold mimicking the signature poses of every top bb of the time.

It was quite humorous and he was spot-on with everyone.

At one of the Olympia's won by Zane...each competitor would come on stage, one by one, and they would stand in silhouette. You could not see any detail and the only way you could tell who each one was was when they would hit their signature pose...tyhen the lights went on and they'd do their routine.

This could never be done today...as most competitors look all to similar to each other.

Rusty Jeffers has a few "signature poses" and is the only one you could compare to Zane!!!  He's got the absolute best silhouette compared to all the bulk monsters out there!!
