For all the times I watched Pumping Iron I never picked this out. When Arnold is greeting everybody at the gym they all look at his chest and laugh. The most noticeable was Big Tony, who I always thought was a little special. There all laughing at the Arnold is numero uno shirt Arnold is wearing. I always just thought he wore it after he won the Olympia but the very first day of shooting at Golds he walks in wearing it.

He designs the leather jackets for World's, Gold's and the Arnold, I think...(maybe not World's anymore as they are now p-fitness)

I must have watched Pumping Iron 20 times and I've never noticed him creeping in the background there. Good find!

The many times that I have watched Pumping Iron I have offend wondered whowas that other dude at the end of counter.Thanks for mention who that person is Mike M. If Arnold said hi to Mike M. I reckon that there would be some hard core trashing talking between Aronold and Mike M.

if you watched the extra footage on dvd and interviews you will see you are 100% right
the mike katz losing shirt deal was done as follows, they had footage of mike lsoing his shirt, then they decided lets film something whereas it will look as it was setup

But me makes up for it when he and Arnold are training in the weight pit at Muscle Beach. Franco is benching 315lbs. and at about rep number 8, Arnold cracks a joke, Franco has that shit just resting on his chest laughing, and throws it right back up like it's nothing... 8)
...of course, Arnold had to help him rack the weight due to Franco's short arms. :D

He'd already won the Olympia numerous times, whether it was filmed before or after that year's show didn't matter.
It was probably nervous laughter from being filmed, not the t-shirt.
