First off, props to Kai Green. He won the Colorado pro and took 3rd at keystone. One of the best physiques today. Could have easily been top 10 at the 2007 Olympia, but chose to bulk up.
Yeah, he had the grapefruit incident, but he was very open when Ron interviewed him about it. Said he needed the money, and that was that.
Kai bulked up this past year and will be a top 6 Arnold guy (easily) if he brings near the same conditioning he had last year. he could finish as high as third - Gustavo and branch are very beatable.
According to MD's board, Kai has no major contracts at the moment, but is hoping to secure one with a good placing at the Arnold. With as much buzz and potential as the guy has, don't you think companies would be dying to ink him BEFORE he get a shocking 3rd at the Arnold and can demand a much higher fee?
Are companies reluctant because on places like Getbig (where the industry goes for news), Kai is instantly associated with the grapefruit incident?

its not just the fruit, its the dreads and lizard eyes. companies want a golden boy, a healthy wholesome athlete, who prefereably believes in god. kai would have to change his image drastically to get a good contract imo

What it cost him basically is dignity. It's hard to ever be taken seriously in society, when there are pictures of you floating around posing in leather underwear with your schlong tied into some bizarre knot, let alone fornicating with various forms of produce. He might be a great guy, who's very likeable, and he should be respected for his bodybuilding accomplishments. People forget, for many years Kai Greene competed in drug-free competions and was allegedly all natural untill a couple of years ago. But I think he made a big mistake with the porn. If he tried hard enough, he probably could have figured out a better way to way to earn some money.

Intelligently,I'm sure that everyone on this board has done things in their past that they regret and may well have been forgiven, or sought penance. I'm sure that greene would like to be extended the same courtasy. To be honest, if any members of the board want to be interested in Greene's extra-curicual activities and sexuality issues, then that's up to them. Personally, I'll just evalute the physiche on saturday, and let the petty childish remarks be written by those who have obviously done nothing odd in their pasts.
