Pearl and Chris Dickerson lived together during the 70's. I'm not judging just stating a fact about two supposedly macho Mr Universes. At least Dickerson was honest about it though I suppose Bill's moustache and sailor tatoo made him pretty obvious too.

Yes that's true but why did Judy leave him? I think we can all guess the answer. I've been on this planet for nearly 75 years and involved in bodybuilding for nearly 50. The stuff I've witnessed has to be seen to be believed. And before you ask, I am not gay. My boyfriend is but I'm not.

Bill is still married to Judy (his second wife) and they live in Oregon on their ranch. Glad you've been around so long but are brutally mis-informed. I've known Bill since I was 15 (I'm 45 now) and have never even heard a rumor like that in any part of this industry. Bill was friends with Jim Morris as well, does that make Bill gay?

Since you know Bill so well you will be aware that Judy left Bill in 78 and didn't come back until Dickerson moved out. Bill actually used to give used pairs of his posing trunks to Teen bodybuilders he had his eyes on during his judging days ???

Aaaaaahhhh....no, 78' is when I was training with Bill at his gym in Pasadena on Green St. Bill and Judy lived in the house in back of the gym, I trained there all the until 80-81 when he then sold to the gym to Brian (can't remember his last name) and he ripped Bill off for a large part of money from the sale of the gym. Bill moved to Oregon around 81' in believe WITH JUDY and his son Phil.

Did you ever witness Bill's ritual of giving talented young bodybuilders pairs of his posing trunks prior to inviting them to train at his gym built onto his house ? Can you imagine if a grown man did this today?

I've seen Chris once, maybe twice when I trained there, Jim on the other hand and if I recall correctly was there (training) on the weekends. As far as the trunks.......Bill helped alot of people with routiens, he helped me with posing for my first contest and at the time I did not know where to get trunks....he gave me the one's he wore when he won his last Mr. Universe in 1971. If you knew Bill you would know he helped alot of people on almost a daily basis, much like Golds back in the day, you would see guys like Dave Johns, Dave Shaw, Clinton Beyerle, CF Smith (wackjob), I trained with Makkawy when he was there training for the Universe against Padilla (77-78), Arnold would come in once in a while and alot more and other bodybuilders that are legens now.
I trained with a guy named Doug Brignole at that time as well, Bill helped him win the Teen California, Teen America and Mr. California. I also know to this day him and Jim Morris are still the best of friends, but still, doesn't mean he is gay. I myself also trained with Bob Paris for a couple of years in the early to mid 80's.........doesn't make me gay. I gotta know though Jimmy where you heard these rumors, it's kind of disturbing.

my grandfather knows mr pearl. He had a gym a long time ago in LA near the airport on century i think or manchester..my g pops is 85 and still lifts weights every day
