Hey guys, myself being someone whos chest isnt my best body part, was thinking of xcercises that would be most benificial.....I think based more around incling work would b better. Its more natural on slight incline or incline press,+ all the chests u see that look impressive and big are all big in upper chest region?!
For me just workig lower chest doesnt bring that much chest development and just hits shoulders more, and tris. Do the work on slight incline, or incline angle and u hit the whole chest better, and less of the shoulders.
Not a new discovery i know, just kind of venting and ranting on, as i like to do once in a while lol.

Yea I can feel your pain sometimes. it sucks to have a bad chest. I started to go towards more DB work and try to limit the BB work. the only BB movement I kept was the bench press. I think some people should do some incline press and an incline flye movement. lower can just be indirectly trained. if you do an incline press its hitting the whole chest.
I've seen that many of the pros train with mostly DB and not so much with a BB
if we keep thinking abnout, we'll found some answers for some.LOL

Try new exercises, and exercises that maybe didn't seem that important try giving them more priority at the beginning of the workout. Incline/decline/flat flys, DB incline/decline/flat preses instead of BBs, cable flys, dips, etc.
Besides which hey some of us don't have great chests don't worry about it. :D

Yeah good idea just to focus on inclines, though it wont hurt to do some flat bench.
Honestly though, i feel that flyes are one of the best chest exercises out there. Incline, Flat and Decline flyes are all great and often over looked or underestimated in their effectiveness IMO.
Personally my chest workout is
Incline bench
Flat bench
Incline flyes
Decline flyes
(i swap between BB and DB each week) Simple and seems to work for me.

i agree with you i was just wondering if you use cables at all for any of those flyes...i just recently went from DB to cable flye and i love them...i just wondering what you thought?

more inclines, and more flyes.

Weighted dips and bent arm pullovers and press (BB or DB) could be your first choice.. Also might consider pec decks as a change from regular flys. Experiment with different hand positions when doing benches or inclines. Try bring the bar nearer the upper chest/neck area with a wider grip, closer to the inside collars.
As NoCalBbER said, used DB's only with chest movements and than check your progress. Good Luck.
