well its certainly not a good thing.....no one wants high lats instead of nice thick lower lats that tie in very low......


u dont hear guys goin ohhh man i wish i had lats like silvio samuel coz the judges will be giving him points for having high lats....

its like having a long torso or high calves or short biceps ....no one wants that

That Oliver Burker guy had great lats that were high.. Dennis Wolf has huge lats that insert high. Of course this hurts his mandatory poses, but his width makes up for it.

It isn't as bad as short biceps, or short arms in general like Tamali has. Dorian had short arm inserts but could hide this weakness during the mandatory shots. But eventually the weakness showed when he was next to guys like Levrone, Dillet and Nasser.

No according to the judges and its all relative especially if you're next to someone who's lats aren't high little things like this add up especially if a contest is close . its analogous to having high calves

Id rather have peaked shorter bis shaped like arnie than long full ones like levrone.

I have to agree with this, I don't understand who decided lower lats should be better, probably the same person who wanted shredded glutes.  High lats, if they are on the right frame, think Denis Wolf, gives a person that superhero look.
